Okay, I've seen a lot of people quitting on here, and most of it is due to people being rude, whiny, etc. So, I want EVERYONE WHO CLICKS ON THIS POST TO READ THE FOLLOWING:

•#1 If you've had a bad day, don't post about it on SBF. I know it is tempting, because you want people to say its okay, and offer you a virtual cookie Smile But when people post their feelings or emotions about stuff, it can get out of hand and on other peoples nerves. Find a notebook around the house and write, or write on MS Word on your computer. Or you can tell your dog, which works for me. And if all else fails, punch a pillow Wink

•#2 If you have a problem with somebody, then don't post saying "Some people on here are just rude and they need to get over themselves!" (please see #1 for what to do as an alternate) Instead, ignore that person completely and their posts. Also, don't PM them. Thats the worst way to handle situations.

•#3 Don't post in all caps to show your emotions. (Ex.) I HATE PPL ON SBF! THEY NEED TO GET A LIFE! Does that not just yell "Screaming" or what?
CAPS=Screaming
Screaming=You are going to get people to say stop, whether you like it or not.

•#4 Don't be whiny. Period. Don't post stuff about "oh, woe is me! I have no money, blah blah blah..." People don't want to hear that you have no money; if you just started the game, then you aren't going to get 50 million dollars with a snap of your fingers. It takes time. Don't ask random people (or post randomly) for donations. Thats another reason why people are quitting. Take a look at the Auctions for good animals to build up your farm so they can build up your money. There are also a lot of good Newbie Help Foundations now, so go and explore like good ol' Lewis and Clark Wink

•#5 Try to post positive things, even if its not a postive situation. If you enter your animals in events and they win, don't post complaining that you didn't get rich quick, or your animals can do better. This goes back to being whiny. Don't be whiny, but try to work around stuff to make posts positive. Smile
(Ex) "My dog used to win in events, but now he's stupid and he doesn't know anything and he gets last place everytime!"
Try this approach instead...
"My dog used to do well in events, and he's a great dog. Do you think if I get him trained he will get better? Or does anyone have any suggestions?"

Also, post a link Wink

•#6 Have fun! If you've had a bad day, then come on SBF to have fun not to make everyone else's day bad, also. Play games in the gaming section or talk about stuff in general discussion. You will soon be having fun, and that is what SBF is all about. Wink

Thanks for reading my guide! I hope this helps all of SBF!

Great post! I luffed it! **gets pillow ready**
Also:if you're having a bad day, try to post something good. No one wants to hear,"oh noo my dog got first place in a show but I didn't get rich!!!!!tis the end of the world!!" but people will be nicer if they see a post like, "Yay, my puppy just got first place in a show!(gives link to dog" then, if someone said "wow, your dog won less than usual" you get the satisfaction of having sympathy that you didnt create. Then you can just say "yeah, but at least my dog is good in shows!" and everyone who would normally whine about something like that will see your post and be glad about it and perhaps learn a lesson from you! Wink

realy great to post that! thats what i do a lot of VP and VHR when people come whining to me about money etc. (hey, its not like i started out with tons!) but i just suggest selling their animals, etc. and if they start out with the "well, its easy for YOU to say..." crap i ignore them. i know some people have helped me out. so if they reply with a good attitude i try to do what i can.
