I always have trouble coming up with prices for my animals or when I bid, so I thought I'd make a pricing guide to help me ... and then I thought I'd share it with all youse too, since I always see comments from people saying they don't know what to price something.

Anyway, I based my prices a little bit off the lowest prices you can give your animals on SBF. The lowest you can sell an animal for is $100 and the lowest you can stud and animal for is $50. So I decided that that is the price I'd give the most common critters - those with overpopulated in both color and variation. I divided each in half (because most animals have 2 traits: variation, and color) and got my base: $50 per overpopulated trait for sale, $25 per overpopulated trait for stud. And then, I added that base amount for each level of rarity each trait is. For example, abundant would be 50/100, and exotic would be 125/250.

What about other factors though? Well, I use those base prices for anything with a rarity factor: variation, color, details. That means if I had an animal with an overpopulated variation, color, and 1 detail, then I would stud them for $75 and sell them for $150. Training (or inherited improvements in traits) I decided would add $100 per level about fair for stud, and $200 per level for sale. I might change that later, but for now, that's what I'm sticking with Wink

Maybe if the breed/color is weird or not cool, like a poop colored cat, then the base price would be 10 for that thing. Confused

Also, the unnamed animals seem to be selling better than the named ones. That would be something like +50.

One more thing. The lined animals are deffinently rarer than the ???? X ???? animals. Maybe animals lines should be like this:

Base price of dad: 5
Base price of mum: 5
Base price of all grandies: 1

Then, you would add all of the lines up and divide by 4. If the lines were really bad, the price would end up lower. If the lines were better than normal, then it would be much higher. Very Happy

You can price things however you want Very Happy This was just my system. Heck, I've found overpop/overpop animals priced at $5000, which I would never pay. Personally, I don't think lines make much of a difference in the quality of the animal. Proven show record, on the other hand, might. And by rarity I meant the actual rarity stated on the animals, not how often you find it in the marketplace.
