Did you know that in the year 2005, a 2 year-old Neapolitan Mastiff called Tia gave birth to the largest litter of dogs. She delivered 24 puppies through caesarean, of which 20 survived.

Ah, yes I heard that Bulldogs and the like need to have C-sections to get the puppies out. Seems kind of strange that we've created breeds like that. =/

Did you know that French Bulldogs have earned the nickname “Frog Dogs” due to the way they lay with their back legs splayed out behind them.

Did you know...

Finger joints only have wrinkles and creases if the joint moves. If a finger joint stops moving, the creases eventually flatten out?

Weird... yet cool. Smile

Did you know that the Norwegian Lundehund's neck joints enable it to extend it head backwards over its shoulders until it touches the spine? This trait helps to make the dog more able to move about in tight spaces in search of it prey.

Really? Never would've guessed it. Of course, I'd just be interested in a safari tour.

Did you know that ancient Egyptians often kept cheetahs as pets? They also tamed and trained them for hunting, using them much as we use greyhounds today.
