Yup...They create absolute havoc at the ski fields...
Did you know...
That New Zealand is the only country in the world to have both an alpine and a nocturnal parrot species? (Keas live in the mountains, and the Kakapo is nocturnal)
(btw...Its not a rule to say wether or not you knew the fact, but I think its fun to)
(err...also....if you guys could try to stay with taking something from the fact above yours, that'd be awesome....That way it will become a never-ending chain....again, not a hard and fast rule but I'd love to see where we end up.....I mean so far we started with a fact about a Russian peasant....And within 2 pages we are now talking about New Zealand parrots. Cool, eh?) |

Did you know that in areas where male Monk Seals outnumber females, several males may compete for a single female, known as mobbing, often accidentally killing the female.

I did...And its tragic. Happens with other seals too, in different ways...A male elephant seal is sometimes so heavy, he crushes his female partner. Pups also sometimes get crushed to death during the pursuit (this isin't my fact lol, just...yeah) Makes me sad

That ginger ale began in English pubs? There would be a shaker of dry ginger powder on the tables, which was used to make the beer, ale, etc have better flavour? |
