EDIT:
1st: Fire Opal
2nd: Odelette
3rd: Trent

Sending tokens now. Sorry for the delay. Thank you for entering.

----------------------------------------------------------
I'm making a slideshow video for my fursona to the song "Stand in the Rain" by superchick. I wish I had the time to draw all the art for it myself, but that's just not going to happen.

Selkie's Bio and Ref image:
http://fav.me/d2k9ugh

Another ref that shows different angles and such: http://linksage.deviantart.com/art/Selkie-Reference-Sheet-173363374

The dark spots are random, so don't freak out over all of them. ^_^" The important markings are the lighter bits around her eyes and underbelly, the dark stripes down her back, and the white dots around each eye (there are 11 around each eye--6 above and 5 below). If you're drawing traditionally or really small, I understand details like that are hard to include, so don't worry too much about the white dots if you can't include them; as long as I can tell it's Selkie, it'll be fine.

If you decide to go anthro, here are some extra details:
Footwear: Sneakers OR army combat boots
Pants: Flared Blue Jeans
Shirt: Black t-shirt OR a dark green, long sleeved v-neck shirt with white undershirt
Misc: No jewelery or accessories.
Hair: either short, or in a ponytail--dirty blond. No human hair is fine as well.

Rules:
    1. Drawings only, please.
    2. No art theft. This includes tracing/eye copying another artist's work, to include photography.**
    3. Please do not use free line art.
    4. Either Traditional or digital is fine. I'll also accept quad or anthro.
    5. You may enter as many times as you like.

** If you're unsure, look at the chart here:
http://pics.livejournal.com/ldjohnso/pic/000gq61c
(Credit goes to Atwood at CS for the chart)
The four on the left=Bad Juju. That's the kind of thing I don't want to see. The one labeled 'correct use' is fine.

Don't freak out too much over this guys, it's just copyright 101. I'm technically paying real money to the winners, so I want to be sure it's clean. I don't think anyone here has much to worry about.

If there's an obvious issue with an entry, I'll say something to you via PM (nothing bad, just a heads up), but don't worry too much about it. In that case, I'll still give you a participation prize for your effort and possibly even an Honorable mention, but it won't be one of the top three.

----------

Prizes:
Grand Prize: 1000 tokens.
This is reserved for art that really blows me away. If there are no truly outstanding entries, I won't be awarding it.

1st Place: 200 tokens
2nd Place: 100 tokens
3rd place: 50 tokens

Honorable mentions will receive 100 mil playcash each.

On top of that, I will award 1 million in playcash for *every* entry. (so if you enter three different drawings, you'll get 3 mil and so on).

The end date is up in the air--I'll say September 15th for now, but I will extend the date if need be.

Thank you! Looking forward to seeing your entries! Very Happy If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

lol, yeah. I had a payment issue in December last year (charged twice), and when I called to get it fixed, they gave me twice the amount I'd bought as an apology.

So needless to say, I have lots of tokens, and no ideas to use them up. Smile I pretty much did everything I had planned after that, and I still have quite a few leftover.

i might enter, it depends, since it probely wont be colored if i do real art, in drawings because i rarely do color, i perfer black and white, line art type things, and i would have to do something that is a bit out of my element, but i might give it a go. Smile

I believe I might try this, through coloring was never much my area. I'll give it a go I guess.

So does this mean I cannot use pictures for reference? I am considering entering, and you should know that my art will be considerably better with a reference. Few artists draw without one.

If by referencing you mean eye-copying, no. If you mean using photos as a means to get the anatomy down, then yes, that's fine.

Here's a chart that might better explain what I mean:

I just don't want anyone to pull a Koons, here. If the prize was just playcash, I wouldn't be as strict about this, but I'm not gonna give someone tokens for an eyeball trace of some bobcat picture on google. ^_^"

Pretty much. She is a bobcat (same family as the lynx--I think the only real difference is that they're smaller), and you can see her colors and markings via the reference sheets I have listed.

Okay, thank you for the explanation. The picture helped (lol). And so yes, I will be entering.

Oh, she looked like a lynx by first glance xD

Eye copying... we can look at your provided pictures for colors and proportioning though, right?
