Midnight Sun

So, this is a vampire mini-novel. I was in a creative mood and here's the characters and a small bit of the plot:

Elizabeth: long curled auburn/red hair, about five and a half feet tall, she has the ability to change her appearance, so usually she has ice blue eyes

Tyler: is about five feet tall, he has short black hair and unusual green eyes with flecks of gold in them, (he's a human)

Ray: curly short dusty brown hair, when he was a human he had hazel eyes, he now has scarlet red eyes, he's about 5'7

Plot:

Elizabeth is part of the Brook's guard. The Brooks are the rulers of the vampire world, as a human she got her heart broken by Tyler who is a human. She wandered out into the woods too far and a scout from the Brook's changed her and brought her to the castle. There she meet's Ray, but is hesitant to form a relationship.

Elizabeth swept down the hallways, her red cloak flying out behind her as her hair followed. She chocked back sobs as she thought about her human existence, 26 years ago. She was just another madly in love teenage girl until that day that Tyler the school's heart breaker decided to call it quits. Not able to take it anymore, she fled into the forest to try to mend her broken heart. She was then discovered by a scout of the Brook's, the leader of the vampire world. The scout couldn't bear to see her in pain and decided to change her right then and there with no hesitation.

Just a word of advice, defining characters as "Just like so and so" is generally not a good way to start. Make your characters your own, not somebody elses with one small detail changed.

Hm.. This reminds me of Twilight. :l

Yeah, it's a bit of a play off of Twilight. I kind of gave up on it.

"Midnight Sun" was also a title of one of Stephanie Meyer's unpublished works...
Never give up on your writing! You can always make things better, and you may not like it at first, but once you get to writing you may change your mind Wink

Happens all the time with me.
