"Oh Tay! We're so glad your back!" Lulu screamed at Taylor at lunch. She threw her arms around her. Taylor smiled.
"Me too!" She said.
"Tell us a story!" Kc said as she moved down for Taylor to sit. David nodded and smiled as Taylor sat down.Taylor started in, talking at the speed of light, on everything that happened to her since 5th grade. Even the parts about her parents. She was back and eceryone was glad.
Let's take it back a few steps...
December 6, 2004- 5th Grade
"Taylor Santos to the Guidance Office." The announcements finished for the morining. Taylor shrugged. 'I'll be right back!" She said and smiled at her teacher. Everyone waved goodbye to Taylor, expecting to see her in a few minutes. Taylor was a bold girl. She had amazing friends. She loved to talk but paid attention in class. She was a straight A+ student. She was beautiful, popular and thrilled. She couldn't wait to go to Junior High next year. Everything was good.
Taylor walked into the Guidance Office. Mrs. Julie, the Guidance counsler looked around at the other helpers.
"Taylor, please come into my office." She said. Taylor followed her inside. "Take a seat." Taylor obeyed. "Now, I'm sure you know that your parents took a flight yesterday to Italy." Taylor nodded. "Well, the... plane.. crashed." Mrs. Julie's voice cracked.
It took Taylor a minute for this to settle in. "Cr..." She stuttered and the tears came flying out. The room was spinning. She could hear people crying.... screaming. The only thing in her mind was that the last thing she said yesterday to her father was "I HATE YOU!" and to her mother was "Go away!!". She started running. She didn't know where to or why but she couldn't stop. The screaming got louder than softer. The room stopped spinning. The ground was hard and cold. The tears flooded out. "Taylor?"

Sorry so delayed. I've been really busy...
December 8, 2004
Taylor had been lying on the couch. Mrs. Julie excused her from class everyday for the whole time. Taylor liked the couch. She didn't have to say a word, do any work, or move. She just lyed there with a blanket and pizza. She never stood up, never spoke, never moved. Mrs. Julie typed on her computer glancing back at taylor making sure she didn't get up and she never did. if taylor made a sudden movement, Mrs. Julie would check to make sure the door was locked. She wanted Taylor to begin talking and walking again but taylor never did.
December 25, 2004
Taylor walked inside the Guidance Room as the announcments stopped.
"Come here, Taylor." Mrs. Julie said. Taylor nodded but said nothing. "I found you a nice orphanage to stay at." Mrs. Julie said. |
