Do you know musicals.... broadway that kinda stuff? Well I'm just super excited because this year our school is doing "Beauty and the Beast" and I might get a callback for "Belle"! In case you don't know, a callback is when the directors call back (hint, hint) the best people. This means that your really good. So I just wanted to know if you've been in or seen any shows like "Beauty and the Beast" or "Grease", anything like that! Me, living in New York, have been to many shows since I live on Long Island. Reply if you've seen/ been in any! |

I've been to new yourk many times! (the country part) I live in MI, so the only one that I've ever seen was last year, we saw stuff like the monkey's paw, and all of that, alot of schools were doing it. It was at the fox theatre...I think. I keept on starting at the bathroom, because it was just so BEAUTIFUL there were very expensive toilets, curtains next to the sink, just beautiful, it's so hard to describe. The bathroom was lit by a chandleir!!! The theater itself was so big!!! The Jonas Brothers preformed just a week ago, and the theater was shaking then! people kept calling 911, but the walls were supposed to do that, because otherwise the walls would collapse. |

Heh, I live in the same state as you do Heather. I have been to a few Broadway plays and I will be going with my school to see a production of Hamlet in a few weeks. :3

I've never been in one because, while I can sing, I have horrible stage fright. But I adore musicals and usually see at least one or two a year (we have a pretty strong cultural district and most of the national touring companies come through).
Stuff I've seen:
Les Miz (more times than I can count)
Joseph (see above)
Jekyll & Hyde (one of my absolute favourites)
RENT (twice, once with the original Mark and Roger)
Into the Woods
Wicked (want to see it again SO much)
Titanic
Phantom of the Opera
Annie Get Your Gun (non-professional)
The Music Man (movie and non-pro)
Beauty and the Beast (non-pro)
The Lion King (amazing, go see it if you haven't)
Avenue Q (hilarious but NOT for kids)
Bye Bye Birdie (non-pro)
The Secret Garden (non-pro)
Hello Dolly (movie and non-pro)
Guys and Dolls (non-pro)
Oklahoma (non-pro)
The Rocky Horror Picture Show (college production)
The Producers (movie, hoping to see it this season)
Grease (movie, hoping to see it this season)
Sweeney Todd (movie)
Hairspray (movie, both versions)
Evita (movie)
And hoping to add Miss Saigon this season too. Plus eventually, Next to Normal and Chess. Yep. Huge musical nerd here XD |
