Is it just me, or do you end up with disproportionately more female than male offspring when you breed your animals? Like a 20:1 ratio?
And does anyone know the forumula for figuring out whether you get the rarer trait when you breed to animals? Do genetics in teh bloodline count for anything? |

I think I actually read somewhere a few months ago here that that is supposed to happen for some reason. But I do get more girls and boys, but I've been extraordinarily lucky sometimes to get 2 or 3 males in a row. |

I know there is genetics in the game Ferox, but they usually don't decide gender, more like percentage of how much chance a certain trait is going to pass on. I have even heard some animals inheriting there Grandmother or Grandfather's traits instead of their parents, through its extremely rare. |

I have a female : male ratio of 14:3 from one of my fish (most released, don't worry). Jus trying to get a male with the rarer trait. (5 compared to 10)
Males shouldn't be rarer than females- that sort of system greatly encouraged inbreeding. Doesn't anybody understand population genetics? |

If your talking about an overbalance in males or females in an animal population, where then there's going to eventfully be inbreeding or just not enough to be a viable population anymore, then I think I might, but I do color and trait passing on type things... |

Basically it doesn't matter how many females you have, if you've only got 5 males it takes about 3 generations before everyone is cousins. There's some maths involved, but it's Uni level stuff.
Colours and Variations in this game are definitely not mendelian genetics. |

I must be thinking of something else, Plus thr fact I would be blown way be Uni stuff. Plus wen I ment passing on eye color ETC.. I ment real life, such as gerbils I'm lerning the basics of thier coloring patterns. |

I think that they have the female to male ratio because, males can always breed, but females have to wait until they have the kid, so breeding is faster that way. also the traits for the rarer one is like a 10-1 thing or it just has alot of the commons, then after a while it has the rarer ones forever, it mainly depends on the mother...I think. |

Ok, so I just had a male leopard born with his grandparent's colour.

So now I know that can happen. Parents were exotic/exotic and uncommon/exotic, and he poped out OP/exotic. It's cool, but I feel a bit cheated. |
