How do mailing stamps work?

Okay, this sounds really dumb, I know. But how do stamps work? I need to send some money out to texas to get tokens. I live in michigan. How many stamps do I need?

Contact your local post office. They will tell you how much it will cost to send a letter that far. The local postal service often has a website where you can look up prices, so perhaps google it.

Also, when you say you're sending money by mail, make sure you don't send cash because it can easily be lost or stolen and not reach its destination. Talk to your post office or bank about alternatives.
