Okay, so hey guys! I have been gone for SOO long and am SOO ready to be back!! Life has been really dificullt juggling finishing up middle school riding my green hunter horse, getting ready for horse camp counseling, and SBF, so I had to set it down for a little while. But then it turned into a big while, so now, since I'm outta school, I'm back! For atleast the summer anyway!
So what's been happening? Any big new changes or stuff? I feel so jealous of people who have time on their hands for everything! But now it's summer, and that's all about wasting time, lol!
OMG, did I mention that I went to HAWAII? It was so much fun and I even got to try doing some Polo (Horseback polo, that is) and rode in the waves and on the beach! It was a blast and I got really sunburned, haha!
Anyway...
As for my horse stuff and dog agility, all has been really good. My sport pony, Scout, just turned 7 and he is just recovering from a little leg injury last week, and we are jumping again. He was only out for a couple of days, but we don't really know what happened! One day my instructor came down and his leg was swollen like a baloon and he had a whole bunch of little scrapes and cuts on his leg, but nothing signifigant. But the weird thing was that he was putting full weight on it and he wasn't lame at all. But anyway, now that that's out of the way, we are practicing hard for a Hunter Show next weekend. It's gonna be great! And we also have 4H fair coming up, and I am so excited! I haven't competed there in a whole year now and I've really missed it
And as for "dog hunter/jumpers" (lol), my golden retriever girl, Lilly, is always improving. She has now mastered jumping her 2'9" stuff and is steadily jumping well at 3'. I sadly won't be taking her any higher than 3' because I don't want her to develop arthritis, however I try to jump with her 1-3 times a week, maybe more in the summer. And did I mention that she knows how to to flying lead changes now, and she currently performs them all by her self! Haha, my dog has better auto changes than my pony, lol! I think that is just about the coolest thing I've ever done with my dog. And since she's just turned 3, she is REALLY smart, and is so athletic. I love her to death
Well, I could go on and on about my life right now, but what about you?
I'm so thrilled to be back in SBF! I missed each and every one of you!
With love and smiles,
SisKate |
