Ok i have to say.. i am kinda struggling with high school, but then coming to here finding out that Odin left..... thats what really hit the nail on the head....
Odin was a very important person to me... she was a role model, a leader and most importantly, a friend. She has helped me so much with everything she has done.... I really, i felt like she was a little part of what made me....
I don't want to into the details but i would like to say something.... she would never harass.. ANYONE...
I would appreciate if anyone would like to PM me and let me know most of the story.... But what has happened in two weeks???... |

I don't want to get into details here (PM me for info), but there seems to be a widening gap between two different factions here: those that believe in the ideals that are outlined in the EBA code and those that believe that animals bought with tokens are exempt from any sort of obligation. *NOTE* I am not stating opinions nor trying to start an argument here... I'm trying to be objective, despite the fact that I have strong opinions about this matter, myself.
This rift has been brought to a head lately, and some of those that are disheartened by their creations' overpopulation is really hitting some members hard... hard enough, in some cases, to make some people leave. odin is one of these, and that KILLS me.
The lack of community spirit seems to be affecting many people lately, and those of us that have been here since the beginning, or, at least, for awhile, can't ignore that the dynamic of the forums and the game as a whole has changed. Some of us are taking it harder than others... many of us are losing friends here. I admit that I only check in for about 20 minutes a day where I used to spend a LOT more time here.
I'm a person that likes to take action when I see that things seem to be changing for the worse. Again, I'm not taking a crack at those that don't feel the same way I do - in fact, I'd like to find a way to UNITE the two factions so that we don't lose any more players, even if I don't agree with everything they do. Thus far, I can't find a way, but perhaps if we ALL work together, we can find a compromise.
Although I will ALWAYS treat others' creations with the same respect I treat my own, I realize that there is another viewpoint that is growing, and rigidity is simply not working, so clearly, there needs to be a compromise of sorts, and I think the only way that compromise can be met is if we all come together and meet in the middle. If this strikes a chord with anyone, I invite you to PM me or respond here... but unless we keep it civil, the topic will be locked and nothing will be accomplished.
Can anyone help me make SBF a community like it once was? I don't want to lose another friend... (and even if we don't agree, I view anyone that wants to be part of the community a friend)

I agree with this completly! You've put into words what has been on my mind for a while now. I'd love to help get SBF back to the community it used to be, but I just don't know how... |

Odin never made a big song and dance about it like some do. One post, and she slipped out while most people were busy bickering over something else Des...
I miss her |
