Ok, so I was just wondering how people sell the rescues. Do they sell the rescued animals or what? 'Cause I see alot of auctions auctioning off rescues...

When a rescue is sold to another player the person who bought it tells the seller what animal species they want rescued. The seller then rescues that animal, and the buyer bids the agreed price on the animal regardless of how the animal turned out.
One problem with this is if the buyer decides they don't like the animal that got rescued, eg: if it ended up being double overpopulated, then they can just refuse to bid on the animal. This means the seller has lost their rescue, and is now stuck with an animal that is usually worth a lot less than what they sell rescues for.
A second possible problem is if the seller ends up rescuing a really fantastic animal worth much more than what a rescue sells for. If they're dishonest enough they could just keep the animal for themselves and use another rescue to get an animal for the buyer.
If rescues could be traded directly between players like cash and tokens are then this would prevent this dishonesty, but since Orbis hasn't implemented such a feature then you just have to be careful who you buy and sell rescues to. |
