The morning comes and I dred it
The vet comes with his kit
He tells the people to stop treating us bad
But it only makes the circus people mad
Four paces left, four paces right
What happened to the once feared might?
Help me!

I'm alone in the daytime and the same at night
People in the gift shop as free as a kite
Banging, thudding and tapping
People cheering and clapping
I was made to stand on a ball
And forced to jump through small rings in a hallowed hall
Help me!

My teeth of terror are now laughed at
The whip, the snap, the bat!
Small children running around
While i'm here stuck on the ground
I'm beaten, broken and bleeding too
The sound of heaven is like a soft coo
Help me!

I dream about a life where I can run free
Without all this and I can chase bees
I'm trapped inside a small enclosure
If i don't get out I might die of exposure
I dream of becoming the greatest hunter, terrorising the jungle tall
But instead i'm put in a tight squeezed stall.
Help me!

This poem was in memory of the great tiger El'Mundo who died of animal cruelty. May his soul rest in peace.
