I bought new species, but my exam number is still the same.

Hello, I just started playing and I'm still trying to figure things out. So I bought the six buildings available to me, rescued six pairs of animals to put in the buildings, and trained them a bit. To try to but up my prestige, I bought five more animals, and I made sure that each were a different species from the animals I already had and from each other. However, when I do an exam now, I get the following message, showing that I still only have six species. What's up? Thank you, any help is appreciated!

"The farm contains animals with 6 species, 8 variations, 8 colors and 2 details on your most loyal and well cared-for animals, and a $0 penalty due to your Mean People score of 0. (Which you get for not having adequate facilities for your animals.) Your raw event score bonus is 0, and your prestige value is 676."

Is their loyalty bar about 6/7 of the way full? If not, they don't count as a separate species, color, variation or detail - in other words, until they've been examined multiple times, they won't affect your prestige. That'll change once you've taken more exams. ^_^

Alright, thank you very much for answering! Their loyalty bars are very low, so I bet that's the problem.
