Please, please, please consider other people whan breeding these animals. A lot have been made with REAL money.

If you get a "Mis breed" (something you didn't want) Then release instead of adding to the population. Thanks so much.

I have just gone through the market place and purchased a lot of animals. These have all been steralized and released. I will not mention who they were bought from. They already know.

If any of them read this then hopefully they will be shamed into at the very least steralizing next time...

It's really bad when no one even counts the Pasos and Friesians anymore. I kick myself every day for not making them AEs. Sad

And if anybody else has any Threatened, Endangered or AE animals/colours they think should be added to the list then PLEASE, let me know. I will try to update the list often to show progress (or lack of it as it seems at the mo) Smile

Just a question that suddenly occurred to me. How many in the game constitutes an overbred breed? For Thr? End? AE? Just curious were we are setting the bar or if its based on something else.

Basically it's what people think are too over bred. I mean, I know that if there were over 20 of one of my AE creations I'd be extremely upset.

A lot does all depend on the creator also. If the creator of the breed is not happy that their special creations are being over bred then it is added to our list

dont really help to only work on the sales market, the people who do it not all are aware of the problem, and with avaliable often quite cheap studs its an easy logical drawment to breed to try and sell a rarer animal for lots of money

so in adition you migth want to try for the breeds the creator want down, to try convince the people who sell stud services to end these Confused

singapura btw have some 159 if i counted rigth

also could the list be made aphabetical so its easier to find a variation or color on it?

and how is the ragdoll project coming along?

Tanitsja, messages have been going out to stud owners as well as people selling them. I would just like to point out though that I'm doing this pretty much single handedly at the moment and after all I DO work.

I understand what you're saying and will try to get the list done alphabetically but it wont happen over night.

As for the Ragdoll's.....well....people just keep on breeding more and more no matter HOW many times I PM them....

mash, you're friggin' AWESOME for doing this! Very Happy

Did we ever come up with a form letter to send to people who are studding for too low or overbreeding? If so, let me know so we can pass it on to other members... I'd like to post a letter like yours and let everyone in the club edit so we get it PERFECT, and then I think every member should choose to "safeguard" a couple of the breeds/colors/details that the members suggest. Each person would kind of adopt a few of these and be their "guardian", watching them on the market and sending out the form letter when needed (signed "Concerned Member of the A.F. Ethical Breeders Association") and reporting back on this thread on this forum... what do you think?

I'd like to get back into the groove of getting something accomplished, as I've been, frankly, SLACKING. Embarassed I just want to make sure that what we send is worded very, very carefully so as not to offend, but, rather, educate. Know what I mean?

And Amanda...I havn't actually got a standard pm I send out I just tend to write it there and then. But I totally agree that we need some sort of structured messaging and responses....Let me have a think.

well i am finaly maping my cat bed content, most cats are rarity 5 or above, and where i thougth i had only 1 speciment i had up to 4, so releasing the ones i dont need before going through my stock and reproduce it (as most my cats now are 9 years or older)

i think that maybe a lot of people are in that situation based on just loosing oversigth between old missbreeds or whatnot that ended up laying around

so maybe one general advice would be to collecters to take the time to clean out their enclosures Confused

Glad to see the changes in Sphynxes and D*S Norwegians! I am very fond of cats:] I made a board about this earlier, but maybe someone can help me here. I'm trying to get 1 of each type of cat that is Th., End., or A.E. in breed and/or colour, but I have to breed a bit to do that. Sometimes I get misbreds. I came up with the solution that for every misbred breed I will sterilize and give to a new player one and release all the rest from then on. So, I'm helping new players but also sterilizing so a new player who knows nothing about breeding will not over breed. Is this a good idea or should I release them all?

Well saw that and am shocked myself. Makes me nervous about inserting species and some variations I wanted into the game unless they become overbred! God forbid any would become overpopulated!
