So how many are farmers here, real life, or have experience/knowledge from it

which type of breeds and why? do you use purebreed, or go for heterosis effect in crossbreed, if so which type of crossbreeding do you use, and why?

how should we breed stocks to maintain them, which responsibility do we have to maintain small breeds, do we need them all?

whats the breeding system where you are at, is it up to the individual farmer, or is it organised in breeding organisations? how do they function, and do you think they do a good job or should they change something?

To get things started, one of the most used breeds in the world today is holstein, but the breed has not been maintained in the best way, the effective populationsize of this has been estimated to only 39 animals, and recomendations for a breed is to have an effective population size above 50 animals.
