Maybe you've already seen or read something about this, but I just saw it today and thought it was pretty cool
http://www.happynews.com/news/3192008/workers-uncovering-mummified-dinosaur.htm
Scientists have a MUMMIFIED dinosaur they are working on unearthing from the stone it is in. They're saying there is apparently quite a bit of skin left - so maybe we'll finally have some ideas of what colors the dinos really were, as well as skin texture.
I just thought it was kinda neat.

1 how did they get skin from a mummification?
2 Won't the skin be dead?
3 What dinosaur (or at least family) is it?

Since the dino is mummified, not fossilized, the skin is still on it - unlike most dinosaur remains which consist only of fossilized bones.

Um, well, yes. They will still be able to get an idea of coloration, texture, etc.

Edmontosaurus - also mentioned it is a duck-billed dinosaur
4 Awesome. |
