the neighborhood hunter:a story of a cat named daniel

okay this is a story im gonna make up as i go along so you just hae to bear with me
once upon a time there was a cat named daniel. he was a naw cat to the neighborhood and was not well known,yet. but soon he became known as a hunter to the people.he was a big cat and was sometimes VERY feisty especially when you tried to pet him and he didn't like it! and most usually he left squirrels on your back porch. the only thing was the other cats hadn't accepted him yet to their gang. they did every thing to get him to get out of their neighborhood but still he remained. then one night the leader of the gang ,belle star, came to see him. she said a few things,for she was very brief,and ran quickly away. the next day daniel woke up and knew this was a day to dread.

I love it! It sounds like the cats in my neighborhood.When a new cat comes to town they're not very friendly at first.Can I see more please?

So daniel went through the day with that feeling in the pit of his stomach. he kept thinking about what bellestar had said. she had said prove yourself or get out. he knew he had to prove himself somehow he just didn't know how. the next morning he let his worry subside and soon his feeling of dread was gone to. the only thing that really worried him other than his plight was that he hadn't seen any other cats for days and he started getting worried. the only thing that kept cats away in his old neighborhood was either your lack of hygene or your lack of friendliness or they just plain despised you.even if you weren't in the gang those were the reasons.then one day he decided that it was his hygene he didn't know why really he decided that but thats what he decided and no one could change his mind. (after some thought he supposed that he thought this because every time he did see a cat they ran away from him)every day he just felt like dieing but some how he knew he had to live there was something holding him back from just straight off killing himself like he knew he was in this neighborhood to do something. the time for him to do his great good thing as he fondly called it was running short.

as daniel started the next day he felt well rested from the nights sleep. he was soon done cleaning himself and went out to catch his breakfast. as soon as he caught it he ran to the nearest porch to eat. but the nearest porch already had a cat on it and this was no small kitten either! Shocked

this was the biggest cat of the gang and was not afraid to show it.he hissed and said''this is my porch get off it NOW! daniel was to scared to move. the bigger cat ,anton ,repeated himself and when daniel didn't move anton lunged.

daniel reacted just in time. he jumped off the porch and ran as fast as he could but the other cat was to fast. daniel knew the other cat was catching up so he dodged behind a tree and ran behind a bush that stopped the other cat for only a moment.he was quickly back on daniels tail. they soon came to a road they would have to cross or daniel would be torn to bits. just then he saw a movement. kittens were trying to cross the road but a car was coming fast! he had to do something but what? he soon knew. he ran to the road as fast as he could go and gathered up the kittens and took them back to safety. except for one it had already crossed the road. he slowed down thinking good we're all safe.but NO!! the car seeing the movements of the cats and trying to avoid running over them swerved to the left right where the other kitten was! no he screamed. but the other cat was quicker. it ran to the other side and pushed the kitten aside only to get knocked down himself by the oncoming car.

well it is a fictional story so i mean it could happen!

after the car hit the cat it zoomed away leaving daniel to help anton. as he reached the other side he saw the kittens huddled in a ball as if cold and it was cold. he knew that because they were so young he must get them to there mother or they would die. he tried pulling anton by himself but to no avail. he would have to run to the nearest porch for help. but he also had to get the kittens into a warmer spot.as he got to the porch he almost ran away again. butinstead he steeled himself for what was about to come.

okay next part

he walked up to the porch and as calmly as he could said bellestar some kittens are in danger and i need help. she looked up quickly and hissed. she quickly stopped though as the words sunk in. was anyone else hurt?? yes said daniel. a cat named anton. how did he get hurt? asked bellestar. a car hit him.are the kittens allright? yes said daniel but wanting to get back he added but they need to get to a warm spot and one came very close to death so she is a little shaken. bellestar proceeded to ask a couple more questions and then she said well i suppose we should get over there. as soon as she saw the kittens she ran up to them for she realized they were her kittens. she rushed up to anton who was still uconscious andsaid quietly said you saved them.!daniel was shocked but said nothing and kept his cool. he knew he would nee it for what was to come.

then she turned to him. she said GET OUT NOW! as daniel turned around to leave bellestar said one more thing thankyou for telling me and turned again to help anton daniel ran to his own porch and thought as he went where am i gonna' go? i mean my owners live here i can't just desert them!! and there goes that great good thing!!!!
