I wrote for english class and turned it in two days ago. Dont have a grade yet but here it is. I did my best with spacing it out how it was, but i might have missed something. It is the longest thing i have ever written.

Prologue

In the small country of Pymardi, in the capital lived a queen. Many consider her evil and bad-tempered. Amaya is that queen. She is a were-cat, one of the feared creature because they all think of were-cats like Amaya, but her daughter, Ayasha is the exact opposite of that. The one that can destroy Amaya and her evil ways is Ayasha. But Ayasha is far from capable from being able to do anything and that is were this story begins.

Story

Ayasha was asleep in bed in a deep sleep, she usually slept without any dreams, and last night was no different. Her dusty brown hair covered her face. Agneta sat on the end of the bed with her short blonde hair with red bangs brushed out. She remembered when they first met.

She had found Ayasha when she was one. She, herself, had been nine at the time. Ayasha was hidden where her mother had dropped her off. Agneta took the responsibility of taking her home. Agneta’s mother had kindly fed them both and sent Agneta to bed with Ayasha beside her. In the morning, Agneta and her mother discovered that Ayasha was a were-cat. Were-cats don’t look like or have the same strength of regular house cats. They were built like a lion, but smaller, but not as small as a house cat.. They came in many different colors and forms. They also had human traits .They can switch from cat form and human form freely…

Ayasha suddenly awoke from her sleep and her bright green eyes opened. Agneta brushed her own red bangs out of her eyes. Agneta asked,” Is there you would like for breakfast?”

Ayasha thought for a second and second and said,” Just my usual.”

Agneta nodded and went to get Ayasha usual of milk and bread. Agneta had been providing for Ayasha ever since her mother had died. Ayasha got out of bed and stretched a little and walked down the hallway to the kitchen, thinking over her plan on what to do to kill her mother, the queen. The queen, Amaya would have to pay for all she had done to the many children and families she had destroyed.

Agneta watched as Ayasha sat at the small table and started eating. She said,” I’m going to saddle the horse.”

Ayasha watched as Agneta left and finished eating. She went back to her room to pack for the journey they were going to take. She took a pack from the shelf close to her bed and sat next to her bed. She reached underneath and pulled on one of the floorboards. It came loose and she moved it out of her way. She reached into the crevice and took out a necklace. It was made of wood beads. She put it around her neck and clasped the ends together.

Next she took out three short, sharp pointed knives. She secured them in her bag careful not to cut anything. She got out the most precious thing to her, a small white and black patched stuffed rabbit. She touched its nose and it came to life. It twitched its nose and hopped into Ayasha’s lap and hands. It warmed considerably in her cold hands. She ran her finger down its nose again and it went back to being a stuffed toy.

She placed it into her bag and closed it. She pushed the floorboard back over the crevice and glanced around the barren room and got up on her knees. She placed her hand on the ground and pushed up. She walked to the door, stepping over the creakiest floor boards. She closed the door with it giving a loud moan as if complaining.

Agneta called her from outside the house and Ayasha headed out. She gave her pack to Agneta and she tied it next to hers on the back of the saddle on the dark brown-bay horse. Agneta swung herself up into the saddle. She placed both feet in the stirrups and offered a hand to Ayasha. Ayasha took it and swung up behind Agneta. Agneta took Ayasha and sat her in front of herself. She picked up the reins and clicked to her horse. The horse moved forward and they were off to the next town.

Ayasha and Agneta had been traveling only for a little when they saw a limp figure on the side of the path. Agneta stopped the horse and swung down out of the saddle with Ayasha following her. Agneta crept towards the figure, but Ayasha just ran forward all caution forgotten. Ayasha poked the figure with her toe.

The figure turned over and Ayasha saw his face. It was indeed another were-cat. Agneta stopped a few feet away and smiled, for were-cats were very unusual. Ayasha went down on her right knee and shook him. She asked,” Hey sir, are you all right?”

He managed to mumble out,” I’m fine. I was attacked by robbers. I didn’t have anything of value, so they just beat me up. My name is Yama, who are you?”

Agneta replied from behind him,” I am Agneta and this is my partner Ayasha. We are heading to the capital to find Ayasha’s mother.”
Yama’s eyes widen as she said Ayasha and mentioned her mother. Neither of them noticed. Agneta smiled for what she said was the truth, just not all of it. She asked him, ”Would you like to join us?”

He nodded, he didn’t want to seem to jump at the chance, but he really wanted to join them. It was decided, they would travel together from now on. They continued on with Yama walking. They reached a small city after going through a couple of smaller towns. They checked into one of the inns. Outside in the garden Ayasha and Yuma were talking while Agneta was sitting by the small pond.

Ayasha had taken out the small rabbit, and made it real. Yama looked at it with wide eyes, realizing what it really was. Yama exclaimed,” That’s a healer rabbit. Only were-cats can activate them. Once activated it heals every wound it touches, but they can’t save anyone from death. But it works the best on were-cats, if it isn’t placed on a were-cat then a were-cat has to be touching it.”

Ayasha smiled and said ,” I got it as a present when I was about three. I’m not sure who sent it to me.”

Yama got up and went to his room in the inn. A few minutes later, he returned with two long daggers or short swords. He handed one to Ayasha and unsheathed the one he held. It was a brilliant color of a royal blue. Ayasha took hers out and it was dull red. Yama told her, “It will change color tones as you become more advance. I will train you to your fullest.”

Agneta stood up from where she had been kneeling and said,” Since we are getting closer to the capital, we can slow down. We’ll stay here for the week and continue on.”

Yama changed to his more cat form and motioned for Ayasha to do the same. She followed suit and Yama showed her how to hold and wield the small red sword. It would not slide out of her hand because the gems on the handle gave good gripping and wouldn’t break.
Soon Ayasha flowed in and out of some of the simplest forms for defense. Yama stopped her and went out into the town. He returned carrying a wooden post. He then showed her some of the attacks and she easily got them. He told her, ”You must be a natural at swordsmanship.”

A week later Ayasha could duel pretty well with him, but could only last about five minutes. They packed their bags and continued on through the country. But before leaving town they got two more horses, one for Ayasha and one for Yama. Agneta taught Ayasha on all aspects of riding. Soon they were on the outskirts of the capital. It certainly wasn’t what Ayasha had expected.

There were many buildings made from rich brown bricks. There was children running and screaming around a huge fountain near the center of the city. The trees were huge and shady, while the sky and sun was bright. Swans lived in the huge fountain that was more like a pond. The palace was a creamy white with golden trimming. There was a dome in the middle and at the top was a diamond angel in the form of a were-cat.
Ayasha and the group headed to one of the parks in the city. Once there they sat on a stone bench in the center of the park and discussed their plans. Ayasha was proficient at the style of the short sword. Once they had the plan figured out they left the park and headed towards the closest inn.

They checked out a room quickly and dropped off the unnecessary supplies. They did the same with the horses and started towards the palace. Yama and Ayasha carried their swords and Agneta a bow and a long thin sword. They stopped outside the walls Yama changed to his cat form. He could hear and see well even in the darkened sky. There was one soldier up on the wall and two behind the wall.

Agneta tool a rope from the small bag she was carrying and threw the one end over the top of the wall. She pulled little by little until the grapple was hooked. She climbed up and the other two followed.
Agneta cracked her bow on the soldier’s head, knocking him out. She dragged him where he wouldn’t get hurt. They followed the wall until they found the spot where it split. They took the one towards the palace.
They entered the palace and found themselves in a room with a human figure sitting behind a wooden desk without looking up she asked, “What’s the report?”

When she waited for the answer and it didn’t come, she looked up and saw them. She ran to the wall and pulled on a rope. Somewhere a distant in the palace a bell chimed. Adara, the highest soldier in the Queen’s army, pulled a sword almost identical to Agneta’s from her sheath. The sword rang from the contact between them. Yama said, as he took out his royal blue sword,” Go on. I will meet with you later.”
He ran forward and the clash of the two swords rang throughout the chamber.

He stopped Adara from moving as Agneta and Ayasha dashed to the door, opened it and quickened their pace to the thrown room. Yama and Adara stepped up their dual. Both gasping for air aimed for the legs and arms. Adara took a blow on the shoulder and Yama on the foot. Finally Yama nailed a blow with the handle of the sword between Adara’s neck and shoulders. She fell and looked up. Yama kicked her sword away and Adara said, with wide eyes realizing who he was, “Yama, where have…”, but before she could finish he knocked her out. No one could know the truth.

After traveling down the hall looking in room after room, Agneta and Ayasha found a huge ornate chamber. In the center back was a throne where the Queen or King would sit glowed two green-yellow eyes. They closed for a couple of seconds and reopened five feet from the throne. Suddenly the chandoler of candles hanging from the ceiling turned on and the Queen was standing where the eyes use to be glowing. She was dressed in a dark purple dress with gold and yellow trimmings. She slipped off the dress revealing a white robe underneath.

She raised her right hand slightly breaking a thin almost invisible thread, causing an arrow to fly. It caught Agneta in the side. Ayasha dashed the few steps to her side. She took the small rabbit out to her pocket and activated it. She cut a lock of her hair and tied it on the rabbit’s back foot. She set it next to Agneta and the rabbit set to work on removing the arrow and healing the wound, strengthened by Ayasha’s hair.
Amaya had watched this happen silently. She had the same sword as Ayasha, except it was a dark, almost black, purple. At the same time they took out their swords.

Amaya asked in an unconcerned manner, “ What brings your here a daughter of mine?”

“I have come to claim the throw and destroy your evilness,”

“Evilness? You mean what I have done? So what if children died for my coming to power. There are many children.”

The fight began with the last word. Their swords clashed and the candles flickered. Neither could gain the advantage but Ayasha tired quicker. They slowed down as Ayasha started panting. The Queen said mockingly, “Tired already?’

Ayasha and the Queen both swung sideways at the same time. They both swung from the right and there was no dodging the blows, Agneta watched in horror as the event unfolded.

Both the Queen and Ayasha fell at the same time. They landed heads side by side. Their hatred for each other showed in their eyes. It was so unnerving for Agneta she turned the other way. The Queen and Ayasha died at that very instant and the palace changed. It turned dark and the city’s trees disappeared. The children and families vanished. The good people and places was an illusion. Amaya’s reign had been truly evil.
Yama came into the thrown room limping on his bad foot. He tossed aside the pain and ran to Ayasha’s side. He knelt near her saying, with a tear forming in his eyes, “Sister don’t go. Don’t go. The country needs you.””

But it was already too late. He took the silver crown from Amaya’s head and placed it on his own. The crown changed shape to fit his head. He said, “The funeral for Ayasha will take place in three days. Agneta you will be my highest trusted advisor. Gather everyone from our country, from the richest to the poorest, all shall be treated the same.”
Agneta was healed by the rabbit and walked to his side. She said, “I will do everything as you say.”

She left the room and soldiers came. They knelt and said, “We thank you from freeing us from Amaya’s control. We will protect you with our lives.”
King Yama said,”But I did not kill the Queen. It was my sister Ayasha. But as my first order go to one of the inns searching for my supplies and Agneta’s and Ayasha’s stuff, bring them back here. Then go and take a break. You have done and will do well.”

They looked at Ayasha with wide eyes. They bowed respectfully and left. Yama once again turned towards his sister. He knelt beside her and said ,”I will take care of your kingdom. You can count on me. I will bring justice to this hard forsaken country.”

He layed her blood-red sword, after cleaning it, across her chest. He took the healer rabbit to her side and it healed her wounds, but there was no bringing her back.

With those words, Ayasha, heard them from heaven, knew the land are in good hands.
