Blaze as in a blaze of fire? Makes sense to me.

That's one interpretation, yes. The play-on-words comes from the fact that a patch of white covering most of a horse's face (similar in shape to the markings on the face of the horse in my picture) is referred to as a blaze. Also, a large patch of white over a horse's rump is referred to as a blanket. Since my horse has fire instead of white patches, I'm calling it a 'fire blanket', which of course also has a second meaning.

Misty glen: Thanks! I Love the parakeet one! And the cat ones are really cool! I like the puzzle like word jigsaw marking thing on the last one!

The lorikeets are my favourite as well. It looks a lot better full size, and makes a really good background, but of course I couldn't reasonably expect to be able to post a picture that big on these boards.

Misty Glen I looove the white jaguar as jaguars are some of my fav animals, but I think the origional orange tiger looks more natural than the black srry!

No offence taken, I promise! Wink I agree that the original tiger photo is beautiful, and I can't begin to compete with that. Black is a very difficult colour to achieve effectively solely by manipulating the original photo, so I'm pleased with what I managed even if it's not perfect.
