Ok, I just want to say something here, I got yelled at for the discourse this board has caused and for making a player quit. I just want to say that I am not the creator of this thread and I had no idea that Daniosgal was posting this until she told me. I did not say that I was going to go around and check up on people that bought them. She posted that without asking me first. She made a mistake but everyone makes mistakes and we learn from them.
The only thing that upset me was that we didn't even get a chance to sell the very first one before people started buying them from Orbis. Yes, I know that the creator gets tokens when people buy them that way but that isn't the point here. I have bought animals through Orbis myself but I usually wait a little while until the creation isn't so new anymore. I do it to add new blood to my stock, so I can replace the animals that are getting old without having to contact a bunch of other people to use their studs. I don't mind doing it that way but it is easier if I can use my own studs. I am sorry for the way things have gone on this discussion.
Daniosgal is a good person and a very good friend and I am sure that she did not mean for this to happen. I hope that everyone can put this all behind them and stay friends, sandboxfarm is a community and we should be able to get along instead of fighting and arguing over stuff. |

I am always astounded at the reactions of some people on this game. Fighting over fake animals really doesn't make much sense to me. Plus we can not control others actions but we can choose to control ours like Bratterratt said. Plus isn't the point of creating a color, detai,or species so others can enjoy having a real life animal made virtual or having a cool made up animal to play around with. I am pretty disconfuddled at how often don't overbreed, only breed to replace, etc..... is repeated. Why make something if you don't want others to have it ? Not meaning to cause a problem though I usually do.........

I would appreciate it if a mature admin or moderator could lock this topic. It is causing problems that are completely unnecessary. Please? |

Well said Goku-san I am just a tad surprised to see a site admin on the other side of this debate. |
Um, actually, I don't. I have never sold one of my Endangered variations, and I don't plan to. So it has nothing to do with competition. If I do happen to buy or breed an Endangered species that someone else has created, I have one (or two in the event that I purchase a foundation pair). That pair is bred only when they are about to retire. It is one thing to buy a pair of someone else's animal because you have an interest in the species and want to have one on your farm. It is a completely different thing to then turn around and breed 30 more from that single pair, IMO. I choose to respect the creator and not overpopulate someone else's variation. *shrug*
