EDIT:I have to be out of town Thursday so please do not be upset if next puppies aren't born and bids not accepted - I will do so first thing Friday if I get home too late Thursday night.

I'm breeding the dogs today - first set of pups will go to the winners for the Male contests, second set to winners of the female contests - HRD winners get HRD dogs, Bomb winners get Bomb dogs. I'll post the URLS here when pups are born and bid zero on 'em.

This was fun! Now to cook up the new contest for the other new service dogs...hmmmmmm





As you may have noted in the Chicken Chatter, I finally decided to add some new variations of Service Dogs. My brain must be tired or something because I am pulling a total blank as far as good names for these dogs.

SO - here are the first two Human Remains Detection Dogs on SBF:

From now until Tuesday midnight my time (MST) list your names (entries) in this thread like so:

No limit on the number of entries. Remember that the names will have the prefix JLR, of course, when I put them on the dogs. Wednesday hubby and I will sit down and pick our favorite name for each dog. (I'm already anticipating how hard this is going to be - I know how creative you guys are) winners TBA sometime Wednesday.

The Prizes:
For the best names for the HRD dogs - an HRD puppy (a total of two pups)!
For the best names for the bomb dogs - a Bomb detection dog puppy (a total of two pups)!

Now you may have noticed I've added several service dog variations and colors, as well as hopefully revitalizing the police and seeing eye variations. I plan to have at least a couple more contests to give away first puppies from the other foundation pairs. So while you are cooking up your brilliant entries for this contest I'd appreciate it if you let me know if you would prefer more naming contests, or some other type of contest such as art, perhaps stories about service dogs, or short essays about the type of service dog or well - whatever you happen to think up that might be fun.

*doing a little happy dance* I can't wait to see what you guys come up with.
