In my next six exams I could be asked anything. There's and awful lot of stuff in 'anything', making it hard to study for.

So test me- ask me anything vet that I should probably know (keeping in mind that I'm in Australia)

If you parakeet you mean budgie, then it's about 122 I think. Their skeletal differences from mamals include increased cervical vertebrae, tibiotarsal bones, tarsometatarsul bones, corocoid, the ulna and radius are in different ratios, they have some hollow bones and primary flight feathers are actually attached to the bone.

Rose, that's more of a riddle than a question isn't it? And are you talking about common names or latin names?

Fine, I will try.

Most animals don't have a disease, and most diseases are species specific. What you call a disease and what I call a disease may differ in definition- I consider a disease to be something that is infectious but not a parasite (that's an infestation). So I'm trying to think of an infection diseasenamed after cattle.

There's Mad Cow Disease as the obvious choice, affecting cattle, (a similar thing called Scrapie in sheep), thougth to affect humans and the odd feline which has eaten infected meat, including cheetahs and one siamese.

There's a number of infectious agents with 'bovis' as the second part of their latin name, including a mycobacterium, but I don't think it's fair to say most animals get TB. So what is your riddle refering to?

What can a certain Rodent catch if caught in water too long.

A.Tuberculosis
B.Cancer
C.Hypothermia
D. Hypothermia and Loss of Oils in fur.

The ceertain rodent is a gerbil, I use to own them so ya...

Gerbils, Hamsters, Chinchillas and a lot of other small pets aren't in Australia.

But any small snimal in water too long with either:
A. drown.
B. Get hypothermia if it's cold
C. Macerate it's skin leaving it prone to yeast/bacterial infections for a while.

Never even seen a gerbil. Confused

It doesn't have to be questions you know the answer to.
