How do I stop them from costing money?
Also, I have animals for sale, as that seems to decrease the cost. Please buy some or I will be left destitute.
Thankies! |

exam money is influenced mostly through 3 different factors: animal cost, building, and prestige.
The more money you spend on buildings the less you get in exams. The more animals you have, the less money you get in exams.
Prestige is a more complex thing, but also: the more prestige you have, the more money you get in exams. Towards prestige count all the different variations, colors and details you have, as well as the score you earn from entering events with your animals.
Basically there are some rules that can be deducted from this:
1. don't let your buildings stand empty. that costs money.
2. don't have a lot of animals with the same colors and variations, and details. that costs money too
3. Do have a lot of animals with different colors and variations and details. that usually gains you more money than you lose from having many animals and from building more.
4. do enter events. even if your animal(s) don't win, they earn you prestige. prestige=money. If your animals don't win (which is likely)you will have to spend a lot of cash for the entrance fees quite fast. That's why you should only enter events with a low pricze set out(and thus, a low entrance fee).
Oh and, setting animals to reduce training costs helps you gain money in exams. Setting animals to train their stats helps you win events, and thus, prestige. you have to decide for yourself what you'd want more. |

I loose money on every exam, but it says at the bottom of the page that my end result is a positive number, not a negative number... I'm a bit confused on that. |

you are probably looking at the exam cost not at the final profit which is below the exam cost |

You may have a mean people score. You pay to get rid of that but it is usally is less than the profit. You lose money and then gain more. If your pet houses are over the limit (ie 7/3) you gain a mean peoples score. It happened to me. Sell your pets so the mean peoples score will go away. |
