My aunts all had horses, so they had me riding with them before I could walk, and then riding the pony as soon as I could hold myself up. lol I've been hooked since, rode their horses, and my daycare's horses, until I got my first horse (Starbar) and then they multipled since, and I've sold a few.
What is everyone's DREAM horse?
I have three. I want to breed 1/2 Arabian Buckskin Tobianos and Hispano-Arabes (1/2 Arabian 1/2 Andalusian) So my 3 dream horses are; 1) An Imported Andalusian stud with extremely long mane and tail, thick, arched neck, grey, slightly petite head for the breed and of course that gorgeous movement and tempermeant!,
Like this guy (Santiago, Photo from Dreamhorse)
2) Homozygous Tobiano Perlino(EEAA) APHA Stud with a long, fairly upright, neck (think Foundation QH but a bit more lean) long legged, short backed, excessive mane and tail, versatile tempermeant and character
Like this guy (but homozygous Black, Agouti and actually Tobiano no Overo but his conformation )[This is Streaks Pale Rider, photo from Dreamhorse]
and 3) Arabians, mares, Egyptian bred, any color, tall, leggy, short backed, long necked, gorgeous movement, kind tempermeants and of course the gorgeous Arabian head.
I want a filly(one of my future brood/show mares)by the stallion below, Sbf Kinght Majiic. I used to work him for a friend who owned him and he was always my fav horse to ride because he was so willing and really wanted to do what was asked (although he was slighty confised as the owner couldnt decide if she wanted to do Western, Huntseat or Saddleseat with him... Ugh!) He was always sweet, never study and just a pleasure to work with, not to mention absolutely beautiful!
Those are what I want someday. I've picked the general conformation (to reproduce the crosses I want) So all I need now is money. lmao! |
wow i am in love with all you horses!!
they are real rare beautys!! never seen any like em!! |

lol, sorry bumblebee, those arent my horses. I want ones just like them someday (they are my dreamhorses) The grey Arab stud is one I trained for a few years though.
My horses are on, I think, page 2. The pinto arab and the ole swaybacked QH mare. |

I don't have a horse, but I want 1, or 2 or 3. When I grow up I will get some. |

ive always wanted to horseback ride.lol.
i never have taken lessons though, and now i am prettymuch too old to start, and i dont live anywhere near a place i could learn. i used to go camping in the summer, at a campground that the guy had two horses, one named max that i loved and i would spend the whole time braiding his mane and such.lol.
i always wanted a horse, i was a horse crazy kid.lol. |

your never too old to learn how to ride. I would go to a local stable that is giving lessons. I am sure that they will tell you that you are not too old. |

Next week I'll be taking pictures of some of the horses at my stables. I love Tilly to bits (Paint cob, about 15hh something, about 6 years old). But somebody already looks after her
I am desperate just to buy a plot of land and buy a horse - either near my house or holiday house. My dream, never to come true though because my family doesn't like horses. My parents just say "wait 'till your older and have a job of your own". |

Oh yesh- everyone knows my horse skylark. He is my dream horse- he "completes" me. He is dangerous, mean, interesting, and spooks easily. But, he is one of those horses that just seems to understand when you need it. Oh yes.... he is even great in the show rings- after about 3cc of ace (enough that would kill a pony, but he is 16.2 hands so he is quite subdued) . I don't care if everyone thinks he is delusional, dangerous, and mean... I <3 skylark!!
My tribute to the craziest horse in all of the world
