Cookbook!?... Yeah, cookbook! lol If you have any suggestion as to what I should call this thread, feel free to tell me Pm or posting on here is fine, whatever floats your boat.
Okay, well, I was bored this morning and I made myself breakfast, and it wasn't just your classic cereal and milk deal, I was cooking. So, I made this - Scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese and some minced onoins with a bagel with some butter on top. I thought "Hey, why not start a virtual cookbook on SBF? I mean, we post everything else up there...!" lol So, here is it! Lucky's cookbook! I'll probably post a new recipe/idea every week or so and then you guys, if you want, could try them and tell me whether you liked them or not, what you added and like more, etc etc.
This week's recipe - January 29, 2007
What you will need:
Foodwise-
1 Bagel
2 eggs
Cheddar Cheese
Minced onions (We have a jar we bought from the store, so maybe you guys can find some as well)
Butter
Salt
Milk
Utensils(sp?)
A bowl
A whisk
A spatula
A pan
A Knife
First, cut your bagel and half and toast to prefered toasty-ness(basically, toast your bagel however you like your bagel toasted). I prefer mine golden brown around the edges, so thats how I toasted it. Do this first so your eggs won't get cold. Next, crack both eggs into the bowl and add desired milk and salt. Using your wisk, stir eggs, milk and salt in a circular motion. Pour egg mixutre into pan and let sit.
While your egg mixture is in the pan and the pan is heating up, cut up your cheddar cheese into small little blocks or shred it. Put on top of the egg mixture and scramble, adding some minced onions, if desired. When eggs are done, place onto a plate, along with the bagel. Spread butter onto the bagel and add scrambled eggs on top of the bagel and eat it as a sandwhich if desired and...Enjoy!!!

TRIN!!! I thought you were gone! I was thinking about how rarely I see you on here and was wondering if you were ever going to post or anything again! lol Hi! *huggles*
Glad some of ya like it! There is a recipe laying somewhere around my house that tells ya how to make something like this, but a bigger serving and it tastes a whole lot better too (more flavor and sutff)!! You have to let it set over night and you bake it in the morning, but it is yumm-eh! lol
If anyone has any recipe suggestions that they would like to share, feel free to post If someone wants to make a banner too...ya know, I have no objections! lol |

This has nothing to do with SBF or animals in general....But I LOVE it. And I hope it becomes a regular thing...Everyone sharing their favourite recipe of the week, trying each others...yumminess
Will be sure to try that next time I have bagels ( mmm bagels ) it sounds like a great brekky *drools a lil bit* |

Shepherd's Pie my all time fav meal
You need:
mince (lamb is traditional but beef is less fatty) 1/4lb (125g) per person
potatoes 1/4lb per person
1 tin condensed vegetable soup (2 if more than 6 people)- if you cant get this use normal (but has to be lumpy) vegetable soup but strain off half the liquid
2 vegetable stock cubes.
peel the potatoes and chop into small pieces and boil ina saucepan for 20 mins.
place the mince in a frying pan on a medium heat, heat until meat has browned stiring continuously to stop it burning. Strain off fat. Add soup and crumble in stock cubes and turn to a very low heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Mash the potatoes with milk and butter to taste.
Pour the meat into a casserole dish and put the mash potato on top and smooth the top.
Place under a grill if possible or in a preheated over gas mark 6 or 200oC until the top is crispy.
serve with vegetables and lots of gravy.
This can also be frozen and re-heated in the oven for 20 mins |

Heres a good one
Cheyenne's Polka-Dotted Oatmeal
You will need:
A few dried cranberries; about a handful
Golden Raisins; about half a handful
Instant oatmeal
Honey ( two-three large spoonfuls)
Water(t omake the instant oatmeal)
Medium tolarge bowl
and 1 pot.
1. Get all the ingredients
2 Follow directions for instant oatmeal
3 Put Oatmeal in bowl
4 Stir in the honey
5 Let it sit for about one-two minutes
6 Toss in a few cranberries and a few raisins
7 Stir
8 toss in a few more
9 Stir
10 I f you have any left, sprinkle them on top for a gorgeous garnish.
11 The most simple step- EAT IT/ SHARE IT AND EAT IT |

i know this really quick and easy way to make georgous pizza!!! i ate loads of it!!
you will need:
bread rolls (# depending on how many pizzas you want, 1 roll = 2 pizzas)
Tomatoe puree (unless you dont like it and prefer butter)
Your pizza toppings (i had cheese and tomatoe on mine and i recomend it)
1. Chop your bread roll in half and grill the inside bit for 2-5 mins, just so its goldy, but not black
2. apply toppings
3. Bake in oven like you would an ordinary pizza (soz but i forgot gas mark and everything) for about....10-20mins, keep an eye on it.
4.EAT!!!!!
This is a rocking recipe!! i Toatally recomend making it... |
