*off in the distance...*

[Vitani]

~Small wafts of steam and smoke catch the breeze, from vents where previously there was naught. Rocks and earth covered in hoar frost dissolve from the heat gathering below. A faint creaking, like the movements of something very old, heard faintly. Something stirs, deep down in it's lair.~

An eddie of stray air ruffles the sleeping leaves, rousing old memories. Peering intently through the forest, "Could it be?" she ponders aloud.

~Breeze filters down through those same vents, to chambers below. Something fresh about it...Something light. Sniffing delicately, there came a murmering, and then a moment of quiet pondering. Life, maybe, where there had only been staleness? It had been such a long, long time that she had withdrawn, and slept, and waited...~

~A new creature stirs from below, it's eyes cloudy and dull from sleep, limbs slow and robotic in movement. It creakily cranes it's head outward from the cave, a voice raw with misuse trickling from it's lips.~
