Characteristics: long, flowing hair and feathers, hair along the jaw sometimes referred to as a "beard", and a fairly short back in proportion to the rest of the body. |

I would have accepted anywhere in the U.K 
The characteristics I was looking for were the abundant hair, the size range (mini to grand vanner) and their gentle disposition, bred so that even gypsy children could handle them.
I'll give one point Fire, for getting the origin right....And 1 point each to you and Trin for getting at least one of the characteristics I was looking for |

They are also known as a Belgium Heavy Draft and Brabant but I'll give you that.... |

| They do look similar to Kiger Mustangs, with the dorsal stripe (I think one is there, I can't see that well . . .) and stripes on the legs. Or maybe a Spanish breed? |

Nope, not a Kiger...
But it is a 'wild' horse.
I picked that picture because it shows both views...From the side and the rear they can appear to be 2 different breeds. Leg stripes and dorsal stripes are nearly always present in the breed.... |
