Oh wow. Oh wow wow wow wow wow. I am in total and utter shock, and I am shaking pretty bad, too. Zenyatta lost. Zenyatta lost. Zenyatta lost.

I apologize, I needed to express my shock. I know she lost by a nose, I know she ran her heart out, I know she still was in second. However ZENYATTA did not take home the roses on her 20th race.

What really got to me was when the sportcasters kept saying Blame is probably going to be Horse of the Year. No, he is fantasic, but Zenyatta made up all that ground from DEAD LAST, and she is six years old. Her not getting that title last year, having it taken by the (still great) Rachel Alexandra was bad. Not getting it this year would be worse, at least in my eyes.

On the actual race, I cannot believe Mike Smith. The risk he took was to great. Zenyatta broke badly, I know, but he pulled her to the inside, not the outside. She was boxed in. I love Smith, though, and he was so distressed by the loss. As was that lovely mare.

I am SO sad also. She ran her heart out, though. I was heart-broken.I was SO about to cry.She lost by a NOSE!!! I don't know how she got beat. Also, she came from DEAD LAST!!!!!!!
