Puppies, very tricky...
But, they are Belgian Tervurens. Obviously they originated in Belgium, lol. |

I know....Sneaky, sneaky puppies!
Chosen specifically because they resemble a type, but not the exact variation that I was looking for
They ARE a type of 'shepherd', though....
*rubs hands cackling*
Who'll guess it first? |

Really? Not Belgian Tervurens? When I looked it up on google the picture popped up on several websites.
So, are they Belgian at all, then? I don't fully understand what you mean, lol. |

Well that puts a spanner in the works
I did wonder myself on account of the triangular head...But I got them from a different type of shepherd site...Blast it.
I'm leaving the questions up, but I'll find a new picture since this one is apparently not correct >.< |

Oh, well that's okay; it happens. But, yeah, I'm pretty sure that's a German Shepherd. Country of origin: Germany. Now as for the name...
"At the conclusion of World War I, it was believed that the inclusion of the word 'German' would harm the breed's popularity, due to the anti-German sentiment of the era. The breed was officially renamed by the UK Kennel Club to 'Alsatian Wolf Dog' which was also adopted by many other international kennel clubs. Eventually, the appendage 'wolf dog' was dropped. The name Alsatian remained for five decades. The name was changed back to German Shepherd Dog at around 1977." - according to Wiki. |

Ah, don't worry about it! <3
Fun fact: the german shepherd is my least favorite dog breed. Don't ask me why, lol. |

Awww c'mon! Now I just wanna know why lol >.<
I like all breeds...I've known two lovely shepherds in my life, and one not so. I'm not biased against pitts either, so long as they are raised right....
Every breed has the ability to be a bad dog. 99% of it occurs because of poor handling by a human, not some genetic evilness bred in... |

Next question, yay!
I believe that is an Akita. They come from Japan.
Bonus point: there is the American Akita, the american derivative of the Akita Inu, which is from Japan.
Bonus bonus point: I'll get back to you on that, lol.
As for why I dislike germans...
I guess most of it is because they're so popular, and everyone thinks they're so awesome. A stupid reason, I know. But besides that, I just don't see anything I really like in the breed. 0.o
As for pits, I'm in between. I don't like people that think their breed is perfect and wouldn't harm a fly, because they do have an inclination to fight. And I don't like people that just assume all pits are bad. |
