Did you know...
That the black stripes beneath athletes eyes are used for the same thing, and that in recent years black adhesive tape is used much more commonly than the traditional 'eye black' grease? |

Ah, yes that I did know.
Did you know that zebras are actually black with white stripes? It was previously believed that zebras were white animals with black stripes, since some zebras have white underbellies. Embryological evidence, however, shows that the animal's background color is dark and the white stripes and bellies are additions. |
