If you are unable to take the dog or afford care for it, you need to call your local Humane Society tomorrow. This is a case of animal abuse, plain and simple. There's no way of sugar coating that, and it's not fair to the dog to allow him to spend another day in that house. He needs immediate vet care and he needs an owner who won't starve him and physically abuse him. If she won't listen to you, then you need to get your local Humane Officers involved. There's no excuse for this kind of mistreatment of an animal.

At the very least, this dog needs to be fed every day, even if that means you take food to this dog on a daily basis if your sister can't be bothered. Demodex mange is usually triggered by malnutrition and stress. Healthy dogs don't suffer from Demodex mange unless they have some other immune deficiency going on. If he has Sarcoptic mange, which is highly contagious to other dogs, being starved will make it progress more quickly. Both of these conditions are PAINFUL. Every day he's forced to go without treatment, he is in pain. Eventually the skin will start to blister and bleed, and then you'll also have to worry about infection. Mange can't "wait" for treatment. Either he sees a vet this coming week or he goes to a shelter that will care for him.

I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, but as a former shelter worker, I can't stand to see anyone allowing a dog to suffer. Whether it's on purpose or due to an "It's not my place to get involved" excuse- not doing anything about a known problem is just as irresponsible as abusing the dog in the first place. Either way this dog is being abused. Period. And it needs to stop now. Not next week. Not in a month. Now.

Is he getting better?

And I'm sorry about your cat though I am more of a dog person. And I hate animal abuse. My dog is a rescue from abuse. I always think that even though she does bad things, at least we don't abuse her when they're done.

lol. If he is allergic to me, he's in trouble. He wont leave my side, my brother in law just had to come and carry him out of my room because my sister was complaining that he spends too much time with me. But they both tried to get him out of my room and he wouldnt move.

But, ill only be here 2 more weeks, she's kicking me out. and i have nowhere else to go.

That's horrible! You take care of him better than your sister! No offense to your sister or anything. Why's she kicking you out?
