Hey, this is sort of off-topic, but since this seems to have turned into a dog thread...

Do any of you train your dogs? Like in obedience, or agility, or something like that? German Shepherds are often very trainable, I'm sure they'd do well in that sort of thing.

I would really like to train Gladiator in agility, because he is full of energy, and quite the agile little boy. But I don't know where I would start... Very Happy

That's cool, Marlee. It's nice that you get to do some training with them.

I bet he'd be great at it, Bratt! If you want to get into an agility class, just see if there are any dog training places in your area. But if you're mainly interested in at-home training... there are some things you can do to start. Back when I didn't have any real agility jumps, I just used anything I could prop up as a jump! A shovel, a bar, whatever. Put it on some props and you might be able to coax your shepherd into using it! For me, treats are the best training tool, but every dog is different of course. (erm... can you tell I love dogs? Very Happy)

Lol, I would like to do the training myself. He loves to jump, and always goes over things instead of under things, if you get what I mean. I might have to try this agility thing after all!
