1 - I love all types of music, but the majority of my music is Indie/Alternative.

2 - I love meeting new people, and I believe that the only way to truly reinvent yourself is by doing so.

3 - I have issues sleeping because of the great amounts of thinking I do at night.

Hey guys, could we leave out the personal stuff, such as where you attended school, name, age and the questions about first dates, or anything concerned with sex or sexual orientation? They really do not add anything about a player that's could be fun.

I've gone through and removed some of the more "telling" or leading questions on the FB thing. I know most of you more or less know each other and most of you didn't give out truly personal information. But, admin kinda has to think about newcomers. Be they children or predators and what kinds of thing could be told or give an opening to someone intent on doing harm.

For instance, schools you attended. While most of you either didn't answer, or gave "OHS" or something similar, a young person may not think of that, or be lead to give out the full name by someone saying "Hey, I attended OHS, Ornithology High School, what was yours?"Same thing with gender, sexual orientation, questions about the gender you're attracted to and things like sex on the first date.

I also removed some things that could lead to discrimination, such as religion, being arrested.

Please use care when posting these types of things, that they don't ask personal questions and that you don't give personal information, even should someone private message you about the answers you do give in public.

sry but before i posted schools i went on google and googled the initials for the schools and the real name never came up so i thought it was ok.

in my opinion, posting all the things i did that alabama removed wasn't such a big deal.

i attended six elementary schools.. if i were to tell you the names of any of them (which i have absolutely no problem with, tbh), it wouldn't help you figure out where i currently live at all, considering i live more than 600 miles away from each of them now. |D oh, and as my current school is online, and therefore state-wide, you'd have to go through around eight million people in the state to find me.

my first name isn't too personal (as everyone here knows a.l. aljan's real name is amanda), as its somewhat common, and knowing it won't help you find out where i live at all. same with my gender, i don't care at all.

i'd give out my full name if you asked. c: i have on another site, and i still do.. i have more than fifty or so people added on my facebook that i've never met, and probably never will. i have been in relationships with two people (one of which i'm currently dating) that i've also never met.. jump on me for it if you wish, but i'm not an idiot, and my parents are perfectly fine with it. i've met three (soon to be four or five more this summer) people from said site, and guess what? i didn't get harmed or kidnapped by any of these people, and two were adults. not everyone is bad, and its not like i'm going to just jump in a car with some random stranger.. but i don't have a problem with adding people on facebook/myspace, nor do i understand any of the "reasoning" behind why its horrible. oh, and i text twenty or so people i've never met (if you were to search my cell on spokeo or a similar site, it would come up as the place where i bought it.. around thirty miles away).

thats nice if you want to discriminate against me because of my sexual orientation or religion (both of which aren't "normal", or so would say many).. if i said it, i obviously don't care what people behind a screen (or any person altogether n_n) think of me.

I had no problems with the answers anyone already gave. No one gave out truly personal information.

My concern, as well as other mods, was for those who may be new and copy the questions and give out personal information. Or worse, that a predator might find the site and use the answers as an opening to prey on a player who isn't internet safe.

It's always been a standard practice for all Orbis Games that personal information isn't to be shared (things like full name, age, location, schools attended, sexual orientation), especially publicly. There are a lot of young kids who play the games and to be honest, many of them are not supervised or educated by a parent. We can't help that and if they are allowed to give out personal info on other sites, it's out of our hands. But for our games, we want to be as sure as possible that everyone, especially the kids, are safe as we can make them.

And yes, there have been instances on other Orbis Games where a predator was discovered and yes, they used information such as where someone was going or went to school to discover where they lived, or even to start a convo and got that information from the kids by pretending to be their age. Luckily, SBF isn't as big as those games and not as likely to draw the perverts, but we want it to stay safe.

Just recently, we got a report from a player on another game that another player was asking them for very personal information. So we checked the other player's messages and it wasn't just one player, it was a few. The scariest one was with a 14 year old girl from Oregon, who stopped just short of giving her address, though she did give her picture, hometown and home phone number. The player getting the information was an older man from Romania, as they stated to yet another player whom they were cybering with. He was trying to arrange a meeting with this young girl when he came to the states to visit a friend. Helping her figure out how to sneak out of the house at night. Needless to say, Nef reported him to his IP and used the phone number the girl had given him to contact her aunt and tell her what had happened.

True enough, the majority of people you meet online will just be normal (well, depending on your meaning of normal ) But it only take one to ruin a bunch of people's lives and we'd rather they not be given a chance to do that here.
