Bid Collection for Animal Events

So I've been bidding on my animals (and others) in events, it doesn't appear I'm getting the money? :S
Is there anywhere I can track my bids I've placed and collected, or do I need to do something to collect them?

I've always been confused by the bidding feature. My theory is that if the odds are 1:1 (which they seem to always be when only one person bids) that means you only get what you bid back, nothing extra.

I think there should definitely be a way to keep track of one's bids.

I believe there needs to be bids on more than one animal in order to win any money. Try placing a bid on your animal and on a competitors animal and see what happens.
