So far today, just the simple quote:

"Spoon!" (March Hare, Alice In Wonderland 2010)

and

"Blue Caterpillar: Who are you?
Alice Kingsley: Absolem?
Blue Caterpillar: You're not Absolem. I'm Absolem. Stupid girl."

(Alice In Wonderland, 2010)

Awww, you guys are all awesome Smile

I'm getting my internal jog today, thats for sure!

Alabama....Thats got to be one of the cutest, funniest things I've ever heard...Aren't kids awesome?

I was talking to my niece on Skype this morning....She's 17 months and SO smart, just learning to talk....And the encouraged conversation from my sister goes something like:

Say hi to nana..
"nah-nah"

Say hi to granny..
"grah-nah"

Say hi to aunty...
"no!"

C'mon, say hi to aunty...
"no, no!"

Aunty will be sad if you don't say hi...
"no no no no noooo noooo nooo!"

And then she threw a tantrum.

I love my niece Laughing

My computer is right inside a big window onto the back of our ranch. Hubby is outside working on something on the back porch. I've let the chickens out so they are wandering around.

The rooster spots the hubby. They have this ongoing thing - it's a male thing... Hubby has his back to the rooster, working, and here comes the rooster at a dead run.

If you've never seen a chicken at a dead run - trust me, it will make you laugh all by itself.

Hubby can hear me - so I yell at him to look out, Sunny (the rooster) is behind him. He whirls around in time to see the rooster galloping down on him. Cock fight ensues. Hubby is cussing and kicking at the rooster. Rooster has his hackles raised into a disk around his head, his wings spread wide, flapping hard, and is leaping into the air. Cuss, kick, leap, flap-flap, cuss, kick, leap, flap-flap, and the funny thing is if you watch them they are both having a blast. It's this whole male dominance thing but they are doing it for fun. Hubby finally gets Sunny chased all the way around to the other side of the gate to the fence around the house (it's always open) and Sunny turns his back and stalks off in great dignity to his hens, having made his point.

I suspect they both still think they are the toughest male in the barnyard.

I can so picture it...

Ahh men, the same in every species Laughing

Our rooster used to steal milk after we'd done the cow....Silly old thing.

I feel terrible....But I laughed till I cried today watching my dog 'roll over' on a hill. The look of surprise was priceless...

We call the roomie's terrier Harry "comic relief". His job is clearly to make me laugh my head off. I can't count the numbers of times I've seen him roll over - right off the couch or the chair or the bed. He gets running and bouncing and flies off the porch, the stairs, or the ramp to the porch outside. He'll whirl around to take off and run smack into a tree. Oh that was priceless. I had to sit down I was laughing so hard.

And the great thing about it - is he leaps up and looks around to make sure you watched that and bounds right back and around like "Yeah, that was a good one HUH?"

But one of my all time great memories is from right before we moved over to this ranch - we lived next door. Remember I had the mother and daughter Nigerian Dwarf goats? They used to follow me everywhere and they followed me right on over here to visit one day before we lived here. Next thing we know - the dogs were tearing around the house chasing the goats. Two rounds of that and then the next trip the goats were tearing around chasing the dogs!! All three of us were outside and were falling all over the place laughing. All four animals must have made a dozen rounds around the house, switching off on who was chasing who before roomie got hold of his dogs and I got the goats and we got everyone back to their proper homes. We still talk about it and laugh.

It definitely does! I seem to be the only one in my family who gets it. I love how determined they look!

The sea lion at the zoo always looks funny, rolling around on the rocks and them accidentally rolling into the water!
