ok. i think that my wolf is a speed wolf than. b/c in my story, only her father in her could enter a "Whippet gait". Her mother and siblings couldnt, so maybe she inherited the mutation from her father, and her siblings got what her mother got.
Unlike other animals, when Whippets run in a gallop thing, their body leaves the ground twice in one stride, in the extension and where all the paws are under hte body. Other animals, like horses, only leave the ground completely once in every stride. So whippets go faster and appear to be flying.

i have only seen them run on TV, but it looks insane. i bet they could make good police dogs when chasing down criminals.
