I every so often run a 'free to good home' thread for my surplus animals that are getting on abit in years but still breedable....

Weirdly enough, even absolutely free, theres usually hardly any takers for the lower rarities.....

As for nominations, is it ok to nominate one's self for a position? Or would you like us to nominate others?

For who will be able to use club tokens to create breeds, species, colors, rescues, etc? Maybe along with this club, we could have divisions, like the Horse Division, or the Dog Division, etc. Then the nominated leader of each Division would be given the responsibility of creating those animals in that species. Just a suggestion. If that ends up being the case, then maybe those in charge of the Dog Division would also be responsible for housing the club dogs? Again, just a suggestion.

Does the club need to support itself and how to do so?
We could hold weekly/monthly auctions, using offspring of animals held by the club. We could also have fundraisers, or just have a thread where others can donate to the club.

I'll join. I'll support anything that'll help reduce this anti-breeding stigma.

My opinion on a few matters:

I like Trent's suggestions on the first topic, where whoever first suggested the idea gets to create it. I don't think it will be a problem to trust people with the tokens used to create it. I think it should be an obligation though that any tokens and cash they make from people purchasing that creation, be it foundation pair or offspring, should go back to the club. To stimulate the economy and stimulate breeding and interest in the creation several offspring could be distributed as soon as it's created. To club members only they have the option of getting one (or more?) for free on the condition that any profit they make from it goes back to the club, plus everyone, members or otherwise, would be able to purchase one for a reasonable price with breed responsibly conditions only. The idea of returning profit to the club would be an honesty based system, but I think it'll work.

The main source of income, however, could be the same as the Creator's Club used, which was to get donations of cash, tokens and animals, the latter of which were auctioned off for tokens. It had a limited amount of success though. The first auction did well, but the next few didn't get much in the way of bids and a lot of animals didn't sell. I think the reason for this was that tokens were becoming scarce and fewer players had sufficient tokens to afford many of the animals. Perhaps another option would be a raffle. 10 tokens a ticket, and the prizes would be the club donations of animals and cash. I like this option better because there are tons of players who have a very small amount of tokens, but hardly any with a sufficiently large amount of tokens.
