Club Mission Statement:
Have decent studs available for as many species as possible
Have species available on the open market for purchase, especially those more accessible to newbies (eg rodents, ant hill)
Have a number of rare and better species that are public, i.e. no or very little breeding restrictions on them. These may be sold at a lower price compared to other player-made creations, but not being thrown away. Nobody wants End/Ends on the market for 10k
To prevent stagnation of the game in a broader sense (eg keep a certain level of activity going between selling, buying and breeding).

I think this would be a good point that a vote can be called for once officers are elected and there is an elected secretary to call for the vote. It has points for both sides, so maybe it can be both depending on the situation.
As club owned property, I don't want all the animals to belong to one member, would be a great loss to the club if that member were to suddenly stop playing, making it impossible to reclaim the animals.
At the same time, I'm leery of members being given tokens that may or may not be used as directed. The officers that are elected would/should have the trust of a majority of the members, perhaps they could be the only ones trusted with tokens to create animals, colors, etc., though I don't think they should be the only ones with possession of club animals.
May also be the treasurer will be the one to purchase the animals, then sell/lease them to other members of the club so they can be moved around.
Second topic for discussion: Does the club need to support itself and how to do so
I think one of the first things the club need to decide, once officers are in place, is how to keep the club going. It needs to have some kind of revenue of its own, besides just donations. How to keep track of club animals and the money they generate through off spring and breeding, for instance.
I suggest all proceeds from the sale of offspring directly bred from two club owned animals be given back to the club so new breeding stock can be purchased. Likewise any stud or brood fees from club owned animals be paid back to the club. If a club member breeds with club animals, they should be encouraged to pay the stud/brood fee to the club, even should they have possession of the animal at the time.
When enough playcash is made, a vote could be given to sell for tokens.
To help keep track of club animals, I suggest creating a brand in the name which would also make it easier for all members of the club to find animals within the club to breed to and to keep track of club animals that have fallen off the market. |

A brand to familiarize club animals? Makes since to me. I would prefer that we all take turns, even if its not an idea, but make sure the tokens go for the creation making, maybe have an elected position that creates animal? then have the what you said pass them out to people, just a little tweak from yours Alabama really. Does anyone else think the same? I agree with your second topic of discussion ideas, but what if one animal is a club one, and the other is your own or public stud? Would it be exactly the same? Would there be any pure blood lines with already existing variations? As you can see, I got quite a few questions.  |
