I have a few reasons for this: firstly it allows the admins to make sure you're not doing anything against the rules, but mostly it allows me to judge your business sense, which is a contributing factor in one of the prizes of this game. What you do and don't do during a trade is quite significant, so I need to know everything that transpired to accurately judge this, not just the final result.
