Pictures of a few interesting animal specimens. I thought I might as well share.

An albino crow? It's an interesting thought.

Now this is pretty amazing. This is Lonesome George, who is the last Pinta Island Tortoise on earth. There is a $10,000 reward for the person who can find a female, but this species is probably going to end in extinction.

This is a genuine whitetail buck that some lucky hunter got. Obviously he is a very rare color!

Freaky! This dog's genetic defect causes her muscles to grow way bigger than normal.

Could they not try to clone the turtle?

Any idea where the deer was shot? Albino/white deer, and occasionally hermaphroditic deer, are often found near nuclear reactors......oddly enough, radiation counts are WAY higher around coal plants than around nuclear plants

Clone? I suppose they could, but the problem would be finding a way for the animals to naturally reproduce. I heard something about changing the X/Y chromosomes to create a female. But I'm not sure where they'd go from there. Confused As for the deer, I failed to see where the deer was killed. You're probably right about radiation and whatnot. That is certainly not a normal color!

Lol, I bet it does, Bratteratt! Weird, huh? And yeah, that dog is kinda sad to see. She's got a good life, though.

The XY swapping thing probably wont work with reptiles, as I have a feeling they're ZW like birds. Meaning the male has two of the same chromosomes, the reverse of mamals.
