Xmas Giveaway!

I doubt many people remember me since I left a while ago. I was hoping my interest for SBF would return, but I think it’s pretty safe to say it isn’t going to (just take a look at all my ancient farm animals, lol). Anyway, I left 154 tokens on my account, and thought they would make a nice little Christmas present for someone. I contemplated just giving them away, but I want to make it a little harder than that. Call me evil if you want, but I think it would be fun to make a game or contest or something out of it. Bwahaha! Twisted Evil

The only problem is that I can’t think of anything to do. So it would be amazing if someone would give me an idea. Um, shall we say a prize of 24 tokens goes to the person whose idea I choose and the leftovers go towards the actual game/contest thing? I know that isn’t much, and everything about this is completely up to negotiation, so I'd love to hear your thoughts!

well, Amanda (Aljan) is trying to keep some of the AE's and rarer endangered from becoming totally extinct

Ferox is adding to the Fossa's (really neat animlas) and I know he could use tokens for more colors & varieties

It's nice to know there are still some familiar faces here, and it's equally great there are still new players joining as well. Smile

I'll try to remember to message everyone when I get the contest going. It'll be open to everyone, so Aljan and Ferox are more than welcome to particpate, but I want everyone to have a chance at them. Thanks for the idea wolfgirl! Keep them coming!

It's been quite a while I'm sure. Welcome back.

As for your contest, how about Sandbox Farm Monopoly? I created something years ago to raise funds for the now defunct Creators Club, but it fell apart due to lack of players so never ended up happening. I've never had a chance or a reason to get it going since, but I've still got all the files ready to be used. Here's a few of them:
The board:

An Enclosure, a Utility, and a Railway:

A Community Chest card and a Chance card:

All images used are either: (a) created by me; (b) stock images or clip art; or (c) owned by and copyrighted to SBF/Orbis Games.

All the values on here are in SBF play money and tokens, but since it's no longer a fund-raiser I can alter the values to monopoly coins, and just like normal monopoly all players would be assigned an equal amount of monopoly coins at the beginning of the game. The catch is it would require one (or several) bankers/admins to keep track of all the players money and roll the dice for them (to keep it fair).

I'm so sorry it took this long to respond to this. RL picks the worst times to dump on you, lol. Anyway, the monopoly board looks great, Misty! I'd love to use it for the game. Very Happy

The banker might be a problem, like you said. I'd offer to keep track of everything, if everyone thinks they can trust me with their money and dice rolls anyway. Would that idea work for everyone?

I'd be happy to volunteer as co-admin/banker. I can organise the rules, etc, and sort out how the banker will be involved in running the game. Also, there can only be a maximum of 8 players but I expect it will be more popular than that so I'm not sure how that's going to be sorted out. Perhaps allow people to have teams? That would involve several people representing a single counter on the board. Or get a list of everyone who wanted to play and pick 8 at random. What do you think?
