OK sorry guys... I've been a little swamped with work etc, but I will hopefully be making a start on these new numbers tonight *fingers crossed nothing else comes up* |

Hmmm... what do we think about this as a guideline:
Threatened studs: between 15-20 million
Endangered studs: 25 million and up
AE studs: 65 million and up
I think these prices will encourage people to contact the creators and keep people from going wild with breeding. I've based these numbers on past and current figures that seem to work.
Thoughts?

Just curious if anyone has sent a message out about this stud **link edited by admin** otherwise I will do it.
Edit by poster: An angel ferret public stud that could be a little more expensive, rather than removed.

Let's not post links to other player's animals. They are free to play the game how they wish without having to see themselves put in a bad light publicly.
We really aren't that comfortable with the players being contacted and asked to remove their animals, but as long as everyone remains tactful and don't badger another player if they don't agree, we'll let it remain. Be aware though that one complaint about this issue and we may change our minds. |

In light of Alabama's post regarding the admin. stance on this issue, I'm going to have to INSIST on EBA members using the form letter and nothing else when contacting other players, and if any EBA member is met with confrontation in response to sending it to someone, we'll all have to back off immediately. In otherwords, confrontation, "flaming", and personal insults cannot be tolerated! Not only are we better than that, we absolutely cannot afford to lose members due to temporary or permanent banning!!!

Can we maybe add a date for the 'Was' and 'Now'? Even if it's just month and year?
Other than that, makes sense. |

Ferret Breed count (excluding sterile, inactive, retirement age+1)
Angel: 39 (+19 between 8 and 10- due to retire)
Blackfooted: 57 (+28 between 8 and 10 - due to retire)
Demon: 11
Bulldog: 14
invisible, winged, polecat: 7 altogether
There are a lot of angels & Blackfoots that are 10+, but I recognise none of those players names so haven't counted them as they're probably out of the picture anyway.
Colours: 14 panda, 9 cinnamon, 11 Hooded sable, 6 sandy, 5 wicked black & red, 7 silver shetland, 5 transparent
0 end variations for stud, 1 end colour for stud at 30 mil.
Ferrets look pretty cozy to me. Not that overbred. Most of their numbers are in forgotten ancients. |

Far too expensive. Ridiculously so, in fact. Not everyone's a billionaire, you know.
I would consider a reasonable guideline for stud fees to be as follows:
Minimum prices if the animal has little to no training, no good colour, and the variation is not particularly scarce:
Extremely Rare variation: $6mill
Threatened variation: $7mill
Endangered variation: $8mill
Almost Extinct variation: $25mill
Minimum prices if the animal has little to no training, no good variation, and the colour is not particularly scarce:
Extremely Rare colour: $4mill
Threatened colour: $5mill
Endangered colour: $6mill
Almost Extinct colour: $25mill
Colours are generally worth less than variations since an animal's colour can always be changed with tokens, but its variation is fixed.
Approximate prices if the animal has good training, and both a good colour and variation, neither of which are particularly scarce:
ExR/ExR: $7mill
Thr/ExR: $7mill
End/ExR: $8mill
ExR/Thr: $8mill
Thr/Thr: $8mill
End/Thr: $9mill
ExR/End: $10mill
Thr/End: $12mill
End/End: $15mill
AE/Good variation: $25mill-$50mill+
Good colour/AE: $25mill-$50mill+
AE/AE: $100mill+
Adjustments to above prices:
Add on at least $10mill if either the colour or variation is pretty scarce, or more depending on how hard it is to obtain the colour and/or variation.
Add on about 5% if it has details.
In species in which there are very few breeders, everything will be scarce, so the above prices will be pushed up significantly. Conversely, in species in which there is a great deal of breeders, a particular rarity will be much less scarce, even if a particular colour or variation with that rarity is scarce thus pushing down the prices quoted above. |

I think that's way too cheap Misty. Rare variations are supposed to be a little on the hard to get side, that's their point.
Maybe not everyone is a billionaire, but it's really easy to make money with exams.
And in species wit few breeders, I think prices will drop because there's less demand and you want to make sure your variation doesn't vanish. In popular species the prices should go up, not down, because there's more demand. |
