The Exact opposite of the little sad Venting anger thread a recently created below us, why not a happy one! I have my own Brags and happiness, but this is party town central! So post your own Brags/Raves/Happiness moments and triumphs here, in this wonderful thread!

RULES:

No Argueing to screaming stuff.
No flaming/name calling
No Overdoing it over bragging.

Simple enough?

Well Lets go!

I got to keep a really nice king snake a couple of days - one of my friends found him in his rabbit barn (rabbits + snake= not good idea, generally)

wanted to feed him up a little but the closest pet store (40 miles ) wanted $2.19!!! for ONE pink mouse!!!!

I need to get back to breeding rats & mice.

Anyway, he was really nice and I had forgotten how much I enjoy herps Very Happy

but I really didnt need another animal right now - hopefully Ill see him in the spring

Herps ROCK! Jim and I have a Honduran milk snake, a Kenyan Sand Boa, a Mexican Rosy Boa, two Bearded Dragons (one gold X hypomelanistic, one gold X high-orange), and a "Fantasy" frog (pixie X "Pac Man" hybrid)... we've also got a Chaco goldknee and a Rosehair tarantula!

... and I made the lives of two severely dysplastic dogs a little easier today: I taught Jake, 10 y-o Golden how to accept being groomed while lying on his side and was able to see how much Bandit, Samoyed X Golden, has improved after recovering from TWO botched replacement surgeries: he's actually able to stand for most of his grooming, and when he can't stand and I can't groom him while he's sitting or lying down likeI taught him, he's still stable enough to handle bracing himself against my shoulder (for Bandit, this is a HUGE improvement over many months).

Helping dogs with issues is what I *LIVE* for. Earning the trust and gratitude of a dog is as close to divinity as one can enjoy on this earth.

I sent my first animal to Florida to play shuffleboard, and discovered that if you set training to 'searching for details', it actually works!

Took me about 400 exams to find one.

The guy of my dreams found out my cell phone number and started texting me!!! Sadly it wasn't good tho... I know im supposed to b happy but o well here's the story:

I liked him for a while, this guy told him, i asked a friend for his number, she told him i wanted his number cuz i love him, gave me the wrong number on purpose, he found out my number, asked me why i wanted his number, i wouldn't tell him, then he told me he knew why, then he said no thanx, i said ok..., then he ignored me for a while, and now at school he's been watching me like i watch him. lol! (this might sound weird but when i like some1 i like to stalk him! lol like watch him at break, and stuff like that! lol im not a freak, my friends and I make a game out of it! lol! sadly he was sick on thursday or something, and he missed me playing flag foot ball and looking retarded when I rushed the qb on the other team! lol (don't worry im a girl! lol we have girl flag foot ball and guy flag foot ball, the guys play by themselves at lunch and the PE teacher helps the girls! lol) also I couldnt bend down far enough when I was playing center bcuz i was wearing pajamas cuz it was pajama day and my pants would have fallen down! lol

so heres my summary:
I think he likes me! lol plz tell me if it's ovious he doesn't like me lol!

Im Very Hyper,
Daes XD

Finished the entire dog, face and all, on Simon, a Shih-Tzu that was deemed "ungroom-able" at 5 different shops... SANS MUZZLE! It's amazing how impatient others must be... Simon says "please be my friend!"

Saved an old, senile Yorkie from a bather that was taking out her frustrations on him while she was drying him. She used a high-velocity dryer on his head on full-blast and was using a noose around his neck after I specifically told her he'd had surgery to save his collapsed trachea! After she made him start screaming in a senile fit, I took him from her table, let him walk on the floor for a second to snap him out of his panic, turned the speed down and worked from hip to head, finishing the job with ease. How many times do I have to tell people that making eye contact with this little guy is key?! The next person that calls Murphy a "stupid old dog" gets my fist through her head... and I used to kickbox... I'm just saying... :evil grin: Twisted Evil

Marked the one-year anniversary of "burying the hatchet" with a Scottie that imbedded his entire canine tooth into my wrist the first time I groomed him. Now he's groomed without a muzzle. He's only got a little foot sensitivity, but if people would take into consideration the fact that he's 9 years old and he's so east-west in the front that his front feet jut fron his legs at a 90-degree angle causing some terrible arthritis, maybe they'd have the same success I'm having wih him. Poor Chester: he doesn't WANT to bite people - he just can't help himself when he HURTS.

The moral of the stories? Patience is a virtue! I should have that phrase tatooed on my forehead with as much as I use it... LOL!

Aljan, I wish more vet nurses were like you. I wish more of the older male vets were like you too.
