So first things first, inorder to do anything on sbf you need exams. Training is no exception.
Short exam screen shot:
Now onto training. There is "training" and then "stat training".
-Training: This will directly influence your show score, but it resets after you enter an event.
-Stat Training: This is where you improve the stats of your animals.
By selecting a stat to improve, you must wait at least 30 turns (each animal varries, this is just the number it takes most of mine) to improve.
Order of improvement:
fair -> average -> good -> very good -> extremely good -> awesome -> amazing -> inconcievable ->ZOMG!-> NO WAI!
Screen shot of an animals page and the what I just said in an image:
I hope this helps, if you find anything isn't clear, then either leave a message or pm me, and I'll try to clear up whatever it may be as soon as possible.

Screen shots.
Step 1: There is a button on the keyborad, it says "Prnt Scrn" and on the same button there is also SysRq (no idea what the second one means its just a way to identify the button you will be hitting. ) so you will push the button.
Step 2: Open up paint. Go to where it says edit (next to the file button) scroll down the list and "paste" should be bold. Click it, and viola whatever was on your screen is now at your disposal
Step 3: Draw little circles or make notes to your likings if you intent is to make thingy-s like I did. XD |

Most computers have paint. You go to start, programs, assessories, and click on paint...if you still don't have it then I have no idea. As to getting it on the internet I use tinypic.com it's free and easy. XD |

Following Silver's instructions above to get a screenshot, you don't have to have paint, it can be any program that you can paste an image into. Even MS word can handle and save pictures, but you can't edit them. |

Do you repeatedly click the Change Task button or does it automatically do the one selected each Exam? I'm a bit confused by that.. Does it train like in VHR or is it different? |

No it is good for up to 100 turns. Then you should probably click it again. |

Actually, you don't have to click it again. It just keeps on going. |

lol... I figured that since I left a bunch of rodents (I hid the cage) alone and kept on training the others- I figured it kept on going when I saw how many amazings there were. |
