I was just wondering if any of you (I'm sure most of you) have any dogs or have had any.
Here are the dogs I have had:
Tonto: He was some type of black terrier, (my grandma has his brother). We gave him to my dad's brother's wife's sister, or something like that. He was to wild and bit up the couch.
Tonto II: He was a black Lab, he was my favorite old dog, but he needed space to run around and our yard wasn't fenced in and we had to give him to someone at my dads work who lives on a farm or something.
Bear: He wasn't really ours, we just picked him up from my dads friend from work. We decided that we would keep him for 2 or 3 days to see if we should keep him, we didn't because he didn't like my little brother lol. And bear was black too.
Yoda: He was a little Australian Shepard the reason that we had to give him away is that he was the meanest little puppy ever. He bit and scratched and everything in between. My mom got him from the side of a store where someone was giving him and his siblings away. He was white and light brown.
Scamper: Scamper (Aka Skunk, because of a white stripe up his nose) was black and dark brown with white on his face and legs. He was a funny dog, his mom was a husky/basset hound and his dad was a lab/border collie. His back legs were longer than his front! Lol. He was a really small pup, but he got his bark from the basset hound in him. We had to give him (and this next dog I'm going to talk about next) away because we were going to move.
Shadow: we got him from my little brothers kindergarten teacher. He was a cocker spaniel that peed when he was exited or happy. I don't think he was all there. He was kind of mental.
Ginger: she was our first she. We got her after we moved. She is a mini Schnauzer. She is the first dog that I actually taught to fetch. She is really small (my mom and I think she was the runt). She was light light brown and white with a bit of black when she was a puppy, but now she white with a couple black hairs here and there. I like to tell people she is white with white stripes.
If you have or have had any dog please post there name and description here. |

My family has one dog, Bratterratt (Yes, my user name is in honor of her!), but we all call her Bratt. She's an older German Shepherd female, that my mom found in the pound like 6 years ago. We aren't positive of her age, 'cause she was a stray, but you can tell she's getting up there in years, with her white chin and her ole' fragile body. She has a hind leg that does not work right, my mom thinks she was abused as a puppy, because when it gets really cold, or if she exercises alot, she'll take all of her weight of of that leg. But for an old gal, she's in great shape! Bratt's an out side dog, and only comes inside in the winter when it gets really cold. Then she only lays near the door, 'cause she's got such nice inside manners! She LOVES sheep, and is a natural herder, and she's really good at it! She's not a trick dog, but she can sit, lay down, come, herd the sheep (we just say "Put them away Bratt", and she goes and does it!), and I taught her how to do "Paws". Pretty much she just sits on her haunches and holds her paws up in the air, a useless trick, I know, but it was fun to teach her anyway! Bratt's not an excessively playful dog, but when she gets in the mood, she's chase her tail (on rare occasions), and she'll play with her tennis ball (if she hasn't lost it by burying it). Her favorite thing to do, by the way, is bury stuff. You can't leave anything important outside, 'cause she'll take it and bury it for later. An annoying, but very cute habit of hers. Ok, I think I've written enough about her, and here is a picture of ole' Bratterratt!...
[Not the best pic, but it's ok...]

Nice Shepherd!!
My very first dog was a hound named Useless!
Currently we have 3 Shepherds - Charley with awesome bloodlines & titled parents whose ears dont stand - he is my boy - I made the mistake of telling him his job was to stay right with me all the time - and he does!
Heidi - a rescue - We were told she was tied out in a pasture the first year of her life - I could lay a finger between her ribs. She just wants to be loved - but she can be bitchy!
Dache - stolen from me but i still count her - hope to find her one day
my sisters GSD Shadow lives with us now - as does my sister!
I have had some truly awesome dogs - and I miss every one! |

I have two dogs. One's a mut, we think she's part Australian sheperd. The other one's purebred Lab. The Aussie's name is Dottie, and the Lab's name is Moose. Moose is the best dog.
Moose- He's about 91 pounds, and he's a fox red. Well, more of a peanut butter color. I'll post pics of him soon. He has 10 brothers and sisters.
Dottie- She's 9, I think. She got kicked in the mouth by a horse, thank goodness she's okay. They had to remove all of her right side back teeth and part of her jawbone. You'd never tell, she acts normally. She can eat dry dog food without a problem. |

I've had/have:
"Tucker" - My first dog. He died a few years back, due to a ruptured tumor in his spleen that we (and the vet) were oblivious to until the day he died. I wrote quite a story about him in the Story Time form, go check it out. I also submitted it to Chicken Soup A beautiful, huge 95 pound Red Golden Retriever. Rest in peace, boy.
"McKenzie" - A pretty Siberian Husky, she was so pretty! McKenzie suffered from severe Epilepsy, and her pills and medications got so expensive for my family that we just had to give her to a rescue. We never had her that long. A foster dog my aunt and uncle had originally.
"Milo" - Just about the dumbest animal I've ever come across. He ran into screen doors, solid doors, barked at airplanes, barked at nothing, just dumb, but so cute! He was a Newfoundland puppy. Milo was allergic to EVERYTHING, and again, we had to find a rescue for him due to so many medical and dermatoligist bills. He was another foster dog.
and
"Lilly" - My champ! She is a gorgeous white/blonde Golden Retriever who just turned three in May. Lilly is a star in the showring, and she can jump the moon (does lots of Agility!). Lilly is trained similarly to my horse, and she can even do flying lead changes and jumps oxers! She is a wild thing, but will do anything for you. She enjoys greeting every single person who walks by our house by carrying a shoe (or just anything!) up to them as a litttle "present". And she definetly thinks she's a person. I cannot wait to show her in 4H this coming year. I love this girl, and thank goodness, we still have her. She is so spoiled and my mom calls her "the baby."
Here's a picture of Lilly:
Lol, see what I mean?

The first dog I ever knew was Bucky, a liver and white English Springer Spaniel (ESS). He was my dad's dog before he and my mom got married, and he lived until I was in kindergarten. He could play hide and seek, and he loved dock diving. My dad has a great picture of him doing it. He had to be put down because of old age.
The second dog we had was Jacob, a tri-color Australian Shepherd. He didn't play much and followed my mom everywhere. When we moved, we gave him to my uncle and he lives with him to this day at a ripe old age of 13.
The third dog is Maggie, another liver and white ESS. She's not very bright, but loves to chase the Frisbee and snuggle. She's only been with us for a couple of years.
Last year we got another dog, Blue. He's a black and white ESS Border Collie cross, we believe. He's hyper and pretty smart, although he has been known to run into glass doors. He's my agility dog, and usually does a good job. XD
So there are all of the dogs in my life! |
