THIS IS NO JOKE
IF A PERSON CALLED SIMON ASHTON ( SIMON25@HOTMAIL.CO.UK ) CONTACTS YOU THROUGH EMAIL DON'T OPEN THE MESSAGE. DELETE IT BECAUSE HE IS A HACKER!!
TELL EVERYONE ON YOUR LIST BECAUSE IF SOMEBODY ON YOUR LIST ADDS HIM THEN YOU WILL GET HIM ON YOUR LIST. HE WILL FIGURE OUT YOUR ID COMPUTER ADDRESS, SO COPY AND PASTE THIS MESSAGE TO EVERYONE AND FAST BECAUSE IF HE HACKS THEIR EMAIL HE HACKS YOUR MAIL TOO!!!!!...
Anyone-using Internet mail such as Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and so on. This information arrived this morning, Direct from both Microsoft and Norton. Please send it to everybody you know who has access to the Internet. You may receive an apparently harmless e-mail titled 'Mail Server Report'
If you open either file, a message will appear on your screen saying: 'It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful.'
Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC,
And the person who sent it to you will gain access to your name, e-mail and password.
This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon. AOL has already confirmed the severity, and the anti virus software's are not capable of destroying it .
The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself 'life owner'.
PLEASE SEND A COPY OF THIS E-MAIL TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS, And ask them to
PASS IT ON IMMEDIATELY! |

Well usually with spammers, they make new email addresses a lot. The one user won't be much use. Just don't open any emails unless you know who it is. |

You shouldn't be opening e-mails from addresses you don't recognize anyway. That's like...basic internet safety 101. |

I agree, but some of my friends will open something if it says "You Won A FREE Laptop!" bcuz they don't get that thats like the main thing scammers use... just thought it would be helpful. |

me either, once I wiped out the hard drive on my moms computer bcuz I opened one of those. Also any website that lets people under 18 sign up for something that asks for your address is usually bad, bcuz to ask a kid for their address over the internet is just retarded. |

As a general rule, if you get any email that asks you to forward it on to lots of people, be suspicious, even if their reasons sound really important. Find some main keywords in the email, eg: simon ashton, and type them into google. The sites that come up will tell you at a glance whether the email is legitimate or not. This takes less than a minute and is always worth it. |

I agree that it is always good to NOT give out any personal information but this story itself is a hoax. |
