Does anybody know anything about the program people to people? i just got an invitation in the mail to go to England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. I was just wondering if it was a scam or not, and also why I was invited... |

As a general rule with these things, look it up on google. If it's legitimate, there will be an official website on the first page of search results. If it isn't, chances are you're not the first person to know about it, and there will be sites warning people that it's a scam.
This also helps protect you against forgeries, ie: emails claiming to be from a legitimate company when they're actually from a scammer. In emails like that the links will take you to unofficial websites, while going via google will take you to the official website. |

Thank you. I also googled it, but the acctual website the invitation that I got said to go to didn't say official website (when you search it, u know how if you search like a famous person they usually have a website and on google it'll say Official Website? well this didn't say that. My mom signed me up for the meeting in late August but I still want to know more. Like; has anybody on sbf done that before? Does anybody sbf know anything about it? (by the way it's People To People Student Ambassador Program, not People To People International)
Thanx,

Did the invite come VIA email or snail mail?
Check and see if it lists any requirements or reasons you were selected. Usually these offers aren't just randomly sent out if they're not hoaxes. Also, make sure that it isn't too money based. I dunnoes, if they tell you to mail the money to a location I would make sure to call a number they should have provided. |
