Okies, I had a really wierd experience. Doc wasn't sure if it was a migraine or a flu.
I was wondering if any of you have migraines? If so, I have some questions. I think I may have them... I dunno, a killerheadache and angry tummy. But it only lasted five hours so it probably wasn't the flu. And it wasn't hangover(hehe) or food poisoning. The only thing was that light didn't bother me as much as most people seem to emphasize on.
So yeah, anybody else get them too? |

Ive had them. The first time I thought it was a brain aneurysm and I was going to die. At that point the pain was so bad i was hoping i would die
If I can catch them very early and retreat to dark room with meds i can head them off. I dont see how people who have chronic migraine survive
the nausea wasnt really that bad, but the pain and light sensitivity were
you might also check "cluster headaches" |

I get them from time to time, much less now than when I was in my teens because I know my triggers...
One of the most definate signs I ever have ( and that I know of in others ) is the pain being intense enough to induce vomiting....
....But a bad case of the 'flu will give you a thumping head and usually vomiting too ><
The light sensitivity is another one...I have black-out curtains in my bedroom in case I need them, I find being in the dark, sipping tepid water and having a cool room temperature can dull one enough to need only paracetamol...
Most people will get one at some point in their lives, but if it starts happening frequently ( I'd say once a month or more ) it would pay you to get yourself checked out...
Hope you're feeling better |

I used to have migraines a lot when I was younger and yes they would make me puke but light didn't bother me at all. I would however and still do when I have one coming on, get spinning colored lights in front of one eye, usually the right one but occasionally the left one. I don't get them as intense or as often as when I was younger though. |
